An ideal location for walkers with the stunning coastal footpaths along the Jurassic Coast over the cliffs tops to the picturesque fishing village of Beer with Quarry Caves and Pecorama model railway/pleasure gardens. Branscombe one of the longest villages in the country, is positioned in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with the famous 700-year-old award winning Mason's Arms Inn, National Trust Old Bakery Tea Rooms, Mill, museum, working forge and second traditional inn "The Fountain Head" serving good food and local brews.
The popular Regency coastal town of Sidmouth with Esplanade and splendid variety of shops, cafes, restaurants, cinema, theatre and indoor swimming pool is a 15-minute drive, a little closer is the famous Donkey Sanctuary at Weston nearby.
In the other direction Lyme Regis, known as "The Pearl of Dorset" famous for fossil hunting is a 15-minute drive. The small thriving market town of Axminster, famous for the Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall "River Cottage Kitchen", shops and weekly street market, is a 15-minute drive away.
