This three-bedroom lodge stands in quiet rural countryside between Cornwall's north and south coasts, with far-reaching views south towards The Lizard. Made for groups of six or a large family, this holiday home mixes days on the water and walks along the Southwest Coast Path with slower days spent doing very little. Hedged lanes and grazing land surround the site, and the sea lies in both directions, with renowned surfing beaches and rugged cliff paths to the north, and sheltered sailing waters and quiet coves to the south. Stithians Lake Activities Centre (2 miles) draws water sports enthusiasts, while the maritime town of Falmouth (9.5 miles) offers harbour life and boat trips. Head north to St Ives (18.5 miles), where steep cobbled streets wind between independent galleries and harbour front eateries or spend the day at National Trust's Godrevy (12.5 miles), exploring its dramatic cliffs, long sandy surfing beach and wildlife-rich coastline.

At the centre of the lodge is an open-plan living space with a vaulted ceiling, where the kitchen and dining table occupy one end and the sitting area the other, so whoever is cooking stays part of the conversation. French doors along the south side open straight onto the decked area, drawing light deep into the room and making it easy to carry plates outside. The kitchen is fully equipped for a week of self-catering, with the dining table seating the whole party. Leading off the living area are the three bedrooms. The first is a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room featuring a shower and WC. Two further bedrooms are set up as twins, and one of them can be made up as a double by arrangement. Both are served by the family bathroom, which has a spa bath with a shower over the bath and a WC.

The south-facing, enclosed decking runs the length of the French doors, with room for al fresco dining and the private hot tub set at one end for stargazing. A children's play area and a wildflower area on the development are shared with other guests. Parking is available adjacent to the lodge, making arrivals and departures straightforward. A domestic welcome pack is provided on arrival.
