This two-bedroom lodge is situated on a small rural holiday park in mid-Cornwall, set almost equidistant from the north and south coasts, with far-reaching views over the countryside and towards The Lizard. Couples and small families of four who want to surf and sail one day and quiet countryside the next will find it an easy base for an outdoors holiday. Stithians Lake Activities Centre (2 miles) draws sailors and paddleboarders to its sheltered water where you can try out something new and get active. The maritime town of Falmouth (9.5 miles) has a working harbour and several beaches to explore. Over on the north coast, the steep lanes and galleries of St Ives (19.5 miles) are great for a slow afternoon, and the biomes of the Eden Project make a superb family day out (31 miles). Closer to home, lanes and bridleways lead through the countryside and towards the coastline. Join the spectacular Southwest Coast Path, which traces the cliffs above surf beaches and hidden coves.

The open-plan living space runs the width of the lodge, with a sitting area at one end and the kitchen and dining table at the other, so conversation carries easily between the cook and the sofa. French doors along the south-facing side fill the room with daylight and open straight onto the deck, allowing the evening breeze to drift through. Cook up a storm and eat together before relaxing in front of the TV in the lounge. The king-size bedroom leads off the main space and has its own en-suite shower room. Adjacent, a second bedroom is arranged as a twin, which can be made up as a double to suit your group. The family bathroom nearby is a generous size, with a shower over the bath and a WC. Complimentary toiletries are provided.

Outdoors, the decking area is where you can enjoy al fresco dining on the garden furniture, or soak in the adjacent private hot tub while taking in views over the rolling countryside. Guests also make use of a wildflower area and a children's play park on the development, both shared with other guests staying in neighbouring lodges. Parking is available adjacent to the lodge.
