The charming tiny community of St Mawgan is set in the Lanherne Valley, just north of Newquay. A thirteenth-century church dedicated to St Maganus and St Nicholas can be found in the hamlet. A rowing boat stern stands in the cemetery as a memorial to sailors who died in local waters in 1846. St Mawgan is home to the River Menalhyl, as well as two inviting inns and a quaint village store with a Post Office and tea rooms.
