The village is also home to the stunning Japanese Garden, an idyllic place to admire a variety of unique flora; the Cornwall Aviation Heritage Centre can also be found nearby showcasing a variety of aircrafts. On sunny days head to the famous town of Newquay where you can soak up the sun on the golden shores of Newquay Beach, or Fistral Beach which both boast breath-taking views across the azure that could be easily mistaken for the Mediterranean when the sun is shining. Other attractions include the fantastic Newquay Zoo home to an array of exotic animals and Newquay Aquarium which showcases marine life and has up-close and personal encounters through feeding sessions. Make cherished memories at The Nook.

St. Mawgan, a quaint Cornish village in the Lanherne Valley to the north of Newquay, is a must-see. There's a church in the town that was built in the 1300s and is dedicated to Saints Maganus and Nicholas. A memorial to the sailors who perished from the cold in these waters in 1846 can be seen in the form of a rowboat's stern, which stands out among the other tombstones. St. Mawgan is situated on the banks of the River Menalhyl, and it is home to two homely inns, a convenient general store, a post office, and a couple of delightful tea rooms. Two miles from St. Mawgan, you'll find the beach at Mawgan Porth, as well as a beautiful Japanese garden where you can buy indoor Bonsai trees, succulents, Buddha statues, and wind chimes. St. Mawgan is in a prime location, with Newquay Cornwall Airport situated just outside the town.
