Bookings on oursite are by room and the customer chooses their room! Rooms 3,4,5,6 & 7 are en-suite with their own entrance to use at any time once checked in.

We are unable to offer 24 hour reception. Arrivals are welcomed 4:00-10pm Monday to Saturday and 12:00-4pm on Sundays.

Arrivals outside these hours can be arranged but this service is subject to a surcharge to cover the cost of extra wages - please pre-book giving us at least 24 hours notice if you require this service.

The Halfway House Inn is located in the north of Cornwall on the A39 between Wadebridge and St Columb Major, just 2 miles past the Royal Cornwall Showground. We are approximately six miles from Padstow, four miles from Wadebridge and ten miles from Newquay. With the Royal Cornwall Showground just up the road we are in a great position for visiting or as a base for touring.

The pub is within easy reach of Cornwalls lovely beaches and coastline and some of its biggest attractions, the Eden Project at St Austell, Lanhydrock House at Bodmin, Crealy Adventure Park, the harbour town of Padstow, the Camel Trail (Bodmin - Wadebridge - Padstow) which is increasingly popular and the ancient Saints Way footpath.

We are open daily through the summer with food available 12 noon to 2pm and 6pm to 9pm daily. Through the low season (September to Easter) we operate limited hours, with food available 4-9pm (Sundays 12-4pm).

Breakfast is usually served 7:30 to 8:30am.

We use local suppliers as much as possible for our menu and feature organic produce in some of our recipes.

Children under 14 are welcome in the snug and dining room with parental supervision. Under 14 s must leave the bar areas by 9pm. Dogs are not permitted in the dining room during food service.

Directions to Halfway House Inn

A30 - Road: Victoria exit and follow road to St Columb Major roundabout, take 4th exit onto A39 heading toward Wadebridge.

Go straight over Winnards Perch roundabout and we are located about 4 miles further on - on the left side of the A39.

Please park in the front car park and check-in at the main entrance (for your convenience please leave your luggage in your car until checked-in). br/ br/ A389, A39 - Bodmin - Road: from Bodmin follow A389 to roundabout, take 2nd exit A39 heading toward Truro, go through one roundabout, past the Royal Cornwall Showground and past the St Issey/Padstow turn off.

Stay on the A39 - the Halfway House Inn is about 2 miles from the Showground on the right hand side.

If you reach the Winnards Perch roundabout you have gone too far! Please park in the front car park and check-in at the main entrance (for your convenience please leave your luggage in your car). br/ br/ A30/A39 - Launceston/Camelford - Road: From the A30 at Launceston follow the A395 North Cornwall/Wadebridge/Camelford signs to A39.

Follow A39 going through 2 roundabouts heading toward Truro, past Royal Cornwall Showground and past the St Issey/Padstow turnoffs.

The Halfway House Inn is about 2 miles from the showground on the right hand side.

You can check in from 18:00. You need to check out by 10:00.
