About this property

Set in a small cluster of stone built barns that surround a central courtyard, the Old Dairy is a great find.

There is plenty of space in this light and airy barn and a wood burning stove creates atmosphere and warmth making this property ideal all year round. Found in the little rural hamlet of Tredinnick, and forming part of an old farmstead, it is just a few minutes away from the perennially popular Padstow. This beautiful property is set over one floor and the smart open plan living room is great for sitting and relaxing and has a smart dining table for easy dining and a fully equipped modern kitchen. French windows open onto the enclosed garden. There are two spacious bedrooms, one with a king size bed and en-suite bathroom, the second bedroom, also en-suite, can be either a twin room or 6ft super king bed upon request. Outside, the West facing enclosed lawned garden is great for ball games and as the sun sets, spectacular sunsets can occasionally be witnessed. A further courtyard at the front provides the perfect spot for dining alfresco. Once you are ready to explore, hike the coast path, cycle the camel trail or don walking boots and visit the fabulous rolling countryside right on the doorstep. Nearby St Issey has a pub and there are beaches aplenty at Constantine, Harlyn, Treyarnon and Porthcothan Bay. Padstow is a must and has great shops, cafes and restaurants all around the picturesque harbour. Grab a pasty and watch the fishing boats come in. The Old Dairy is well located for exploring this part of North Cornwall at any time of year and couple or families and friends will agree that however long they stay, it won't be long enough!

Padstow is a working fishing port at the head of the Camel River and it is a great base for exploring Cornwall. The pretty harbour is surrounded by popular restaurants and is one of Cornwall’s iconic foodie destinations. Excellent surfing beaches are on your doorstep as is the popular Camel Cycle Trail.

A washing line that is not broken and positioned in a sunny area of the garden. More than 1 tea towel. Lovely property with beautiful sunsets, liked the locality. Would stay again.

The cottage it self was very well set out and had all the usual comforts we like. There were a few minor points. The bed in the main bedroom was too small compared to ours at home. The dishwasher sprung a leak 3 days into our stay, the owner was unable to get anyone out to fix it for the remainder of our stay. Finally, as we were staying during the Xmas period we asked if a Xmas tree could be present since this had been provided at other cottages we've stayed at before. A blunt NO was the reply. Obviously not in the T&Cs but certainly not in the Xmas spirit either. Also, just 5 lonely logs were left for us to use in the log burner, where as other cottages we've stayed have left have left almost a week's supply. Aside from the minor gripes stated, we still thoroughly enjoyed our time at this cottage and would recommend it

Very comfortable decor and looked just liked the online pictures. We travelled with my elderly parents and they loved having an arm chair and footstool each! Very sociable space. Kitchen extremely well equipped and we really loved the welcome tea tray with proper cups and saucers and the lemon drizzle cake!!! The wine and flowers were also a lovely touch! We were very lucky with the weather in October and enjoyed sitting outside with the views across the field!! Great location for visiting Padstow, Bodmin and other local national trust properties. We would highly recommend and would certainly book again in the future. Thank you!!
