Welcome to The Mill, the oldest building on the site, dating back to the 16th Century. Cornish Hamlet is home to a total of eight luxury properties, all with their own private hot tubs. The original two-bedroom property has been extended to accommodate a further two bedrooms; the quirky layout means that one half of the property is on a different level to the other. The original water wheel can be found by opening a door in the kitchen. As you walk through the house, you will see other exposed parts of the mill.

The main part of the cottage has three floors, two bedrooms on the second floor, a huge living room with stunning countryside views on the first floor and a kitchen, dining and bathroom on the ground floor. The extension has its own front door leading to a hallway which divides the house, on the first floor are the two additional bedrooms. Stithians is a charming Cornish village, offering a tranquil escape with a variety of activities and scenic beauty, close to Redruth, Helston and Falmouth. Try out the water sports on offer at Stithians Lake or enjoy fishing for trout at the Angling and Water Sports Centre. Nearby is Kennall Vale Nature Reserve, a hidden gem filled with lush woodland, babbling streams, and remnants of an old gunpowder works. It’s an ideal spot for nature lovers, with picturesque walking trails and opportunities to spot wildlife. A short drive away lies Truro, Cornwall’s only city, offering a mix of historical and cultural experiences. Marvel at the grandeur of Truro Cathedral, a striking example of Gothic Revival architecture, and stroll through the bustling streets lined with boutique shops, independent cafes, and galleries. Truro also boasts an excellent farmers’ market and Lemon Street Market, perfect for sampling local produce and unique crafts.

For beach enthusiasts, the Cornish coast is within easy reach. Head to the stunning beaches of Falmouth, such as Gyllyngvase Beach, known for its golden sands and clear waters. Alternatively, visit Porthtowan or Chapel Porth for dramatic cliffs and excellent surf. These beaches are not only perfect for relaxing but also offer breathtaking coastal walks along the Southwest Coast Path, where you can immerse yourself in Cornwall’s rugged beauty. The area is a walker’s paradise, with trails ranging from easy countryside strolls to more challenging coastal hikes. Discover the Bissoe Trail, a multi-use path connecting Portreath and Devoran, offering scenic views of Cornwall’s historic mining landscape. Popular with cyclists, if you don’t want to bring bikes, they can be hired; there is a halfway spot for refreshment at the pub before reaching the beach with its welcoming café. Whether exploring the serene beauty of Kennall Vale, soaking up Truro’s vibrant culture, or unwinding on sandy beaches, Ponsanooth and its surroundings provide a perfect mix of relaxation, adventure, and quintessential Cornish charm.
