About this property

Karadow is a newly-refurbished, semi-detached barn conversion located on the Roseland Peninsula, just outside St Just in Roseland. A period exterior gives way to a light and spacious open-plan living space, furnished with lovely leather sofas, where you can curl up with your loved ones and catch up with all your favourite shows of an evening. A modern dining table seats six and looks out through a full-height window onto the front terrace, perfect for gathering over a hot meal and discussing the day's events. The fitted kitchen includes a full suite of integrated appliances, including a convenient dishwasher and a wine/beer-cooler. A USB/power-station provides charging points for tablets and phones, whilst an additional freezer space is available in a laundry and drying-room next door. The three carpeted bedrooms look out onto the local countryside and offers a spacious super king-size double room with zip and link features, able to be made into twins upon request, a twin or a super king-size double room. An additional children’s guest bed is available for the second room, with travel cots also being available. Discover a wonderful downstairs shower room offering a large walk-in shower; this room also houses the washing machine, whilst the upstairs bathroom provides a bath with shower over, so you can enjoy a relaxing soak at the end of a tiring day. From the lounge, head outside to the front paved terrace or relax in the hot tub located on a rear, decking area and the enclosed terrace with views across the countryside. An additional shared lawn provides ample space for children and adults to let off steam, including your four-legged friends. The Roseland offers some of Cornwall’s prettiest, family-friendly beaches: Pendower, Carne, Porthcurnick and Towan beaches are all within a 20-minute drive of the cottages. If you fancy a spot of history, why not venture towards St Mawes Castle, a 10-minute drive away, this 16th-century fortress boasts scenic coastal views and an outdoor theatre during the summer. Or you could take the King Harry Ferry across to the National Trust House and Gardens at Trelissick; or take a drive to St Anthony’s Head, a lighthouse, harbour and haven for keen birdwatchers where you can spot peregrine falcons flying overhead. Karadow is a great choice for families looking to escape to the countryside.

Kara Dow was perfect for our needs as a family of four and we felt completely at home from the first evening. It was peaceful and quiet, but within east reach of St Mawes, Portscatho, Truro and further along the coast. We will definitely be returning and would recommend to anyone.

It has everything you could need and was spotlessly clean. Hot tub was great. Nice location with lots of nice walks for the dog on the doorstep. Owners on site and very welcoming and accommodating but not at all intrusive. Highly recommend this property.
