Overall, the property offers a memorable and relaxing base for exploring Cornwall, especially for families and groups.
Most guests found the property clean and well-presented, with several positive remarks about tidiness and fresh bedding. However, some reviews mention issues such as stained furniture, musky smells, and occasional lapses in bathroom or carpet cleanliness, as well as isolated reports of bed bugs and cobwebs. These mixed experiences suggest generally good standards with occasional lapses.
The location is widely praised for its peaceful countryside setting, proximity to beaches, and easy access to local attractions like Healeys Cyder Farm. The cottage is well-equipped, with a popular games room, large kitchen, and family-friendly amenities. Most guests found everything they needed, though a few suggested improvements to kitchen equipment, outdoor seating, and maintenance of certain items (e.g., fridge, dryer, window frames). Occasional reports of broken furniture or minor repairs needed were balanced by prompt responses from the owner.
Many guests mention welcome packs with local cider, jam, or cream tea vouchers, and fresh flowers, which are greatly appreciated. However, these gifts are not always provided, and some guests were disappointed when they were missing. While thoughtful touches are often present, they cannot be guaranteed for every stay.

They gave us a lovely welcome hamper. The only suggestion we have is that the tall stones in the garden be removed as they are wobbly. The front garden is the only space for children to play and removing the stones would make a safer space

Although the exterior varnish to the window frames needs refreshing, everything else was superb, and who cares really about the window frames when yo are in such a great property, so close to many fantastic beaches and everything else. I will definitely consider using this property in the future
