Padstow, Port Isaac, Tintagel and Boscastle are within 15 miles, teeming with family attractions and activities. Perfect for exploring the whole county, the world-famous Eden Project, with superb summer theatre and cultural events, is only 20 miles; horse riding and superb golf are nearby.

The cottage was not as advertised or described. The double bed was too small so my partner who is 6ft 1 had to sleep on the sofa. The decoration was shabby and not in a chic way. It smelt damp & musty. The gutters were broken so when it rained it. The lighting in the living area was inadequate. The bath/shower was also small. The twin room wouldn't be big enough for two kids older than 5. The hot tub was in position of no privacy at all really. The light outside was so dim you couldn't see for the hot tub and only 1 feature worked on that. Very disappointed in the accommodation & it was very uncomfortable.

The welcome from reception needs a lot of work. We felt let down from first introduction.Although the cottage has character it is very tired and needs a lick of paint and cleaning thoroughly- it also has a fruit fly problem. The hot tub was also cold for 24 hours and you would expect it to be ready on the first day for the price. The water in the cottage is red hot (boiling) wife scalded her foot and it is not suitable for young children. Towels were never changed in the full week and room service was none existent. The wi-fi is beyond a joke and hardly ever worked even in the bar area. You should not advertise wi-fi if it doesn't work. The Bar and Restaurant are like a bad day at Pontins - poor food and rude staff. The entertainment is ridiculous and a lady with glasses in a blue uniform upset my daughter by not awarding her a 10p bag of sweets as she scored 10/20 on a Disney quiz when all the others used their parents phones. Joke. Cash machine worked once in seven days. Tried to charge me for using the pool and crazy golf(which they did) - meant to be included in the price.The location is idyllic but accessibility for a large car is dangerous on narrow lanes and again should be advertised. The signage on the main road is below substantial.If we didn't have a car the holiday would have been poor due to the overall low standard of the site.Overall below average.
