About this property

Dickins Cottage is a spacious luxury restored stone barn conversion on Trenarlett Farm near St Tudy.

Sitting in a peaceful rural location near the River Camel, this stunning family friendly and canine friendly house provides a luxurious stay and makes the perfect base for exploring Cornwall. It’s all on one level, with a wet room, an enclosed garden, underfloor heating, and a wood burner, perfect for a couple, friends, or family.

The former cattle barn has been stunningly converted into eco luxury accommodation. It’s stylish and spacious with bags of character, combining high end fixtures and fittings with gorgeous original features. The lounge has beautiful wooden beams, and a cosy wood burner the hounds can curl up next to while you watch TV/a DVD. The stunning kitchen/diner has everything you need for cooking delicious dinners to enjoy at the rustic dining table. The bedrooms are at either end of the property, a super-king room (can be set up as a twin), which has an en-suite bathroom, and a twin (can be set up as a super-king) with an en-suite wet room. There are three steps between the lounge and the second bedroom, or you avoid them by using the outside path. Soak up the sun in the garden seating areas, have a BBQ and let your pups roam freely. There’s a covered area for storing bikes/wetsuits/surfboards and a field the dogs can run around too.

Explore the wilds of Bodmin Moor, cycle or walk along the Camel Trail, a wheel-chair accessible flat route on a disused railway line which runs between Wenfordbridge and Padstow. Visit the area’s stunning beaches, go fishing on the River Camel (fishing access may be available by arrangement). Explore the National Trust’s Lanhydrock House (8 miles), take a nostalgic trip on the Bodmin and Wenford Railway (6 miles), booking is advisable for wheelchair users as spaces are limited.

    Lovely clean and comfortable cottage.

Overall excellent Location is amazing, quiet, beautiful views and a stunning place in the countryside The cottage is very well equipped, clean and really comfortable. We (and our furry companions) especially loved the garden. It was big and secure and not overlooked. On top of all that we didn’t feel overcharged. It was a fair price for a lovely holiday This property is a real gem, we can’t wait to return

I had such a wonderful week. Sorry it’s taken so long to get back to you. The host was lovely. The cottage was outstanding. Actually forgot how narrow the lanes were as I hadn’t been to Cornwall for a long time! Haha not for the faint hearted at times! I cannot wait to rebook.
