About this property

Dickins Cottage is a spacious luxury restored stone barn conversion on Trenarlett Farm near St Tudy.

Sitting in a peaceful rural location near the River Camel, this stunning family friendly and canine friendly house provides a luxurious stay and makes the perfect base for exploring Cornwall. It’s all on one level, with a wet room, an enclosed garden, underfloor heating, and a wood burner, perfect for a couple, friends, or family.

The former cattle barn has been stunningly converted into eco luxury accommodation. It’s stylish and spacious with bags of character, combining high end fixtures and fittings with gorgeous original features. The lounge has beautiful wooden beams, and a cosy wood burner the hounds can curl up next to while you watch a DVD on the Smart TV. The stunning kitchen/diner has everything you need for cooking delicious dinners to enjoy at the rustic dining table. The bedrooms are at either end of the property, a super-king room (can be set up as a twin), which has an en-suite bathroom, and a twin (can be set up as a super-king) with an en-suite wet room. There are three steps between the lounge and the second bedroom, or you avoid them by using the outside path. Soak up the sun in the garden seating areas, have a BBQ and let your pups roam freely. There’s a covered area for storing bikes/wetsuits/surfboards and a field the dogs can run around too.

Explore the wilds of Bodmin Moor, cycle or walk along the Camel Trail, a wheel-chair accessible flat route on a disused railway line which runs between Wenfordbridge and Padstow. Visit the area’s stunning beaches, go fishing on the River Camel (fishing access may be available by arrangement). Explore the National Trust’s Lanhydrock House (8 miles), take a nostalgic trip on the Bodmin and Wenford Railway (6 miles), booking is advisable for wheelchair users as spaces are limited.

We visit Cornwall regularly and Dickinson Cottage is right up there with many of the properties we have stayed in. It is well thought out in its layout. Really comfortable and coming back to this part of Cornwall we will be looking to stay here again

We had a wonderful week at Dickins Cottage. It was spotless, very well equipped, very comfortable, beautiful surroundings & good location for us. Sophy was very friendly & even let us bring our convalescing cat after an accident the week before. The property was also very suitable for our dog with hard floors & a good enclosed garden. He did like to sit in front of the glass xoors & bark if the neighbours passed in their car though! The cottages are quite private however, & we didn't feel surrounded by other holiday makers. The conversions of farm buildings have been very well done. Ws would heartily recommend this cottage & would like to return.
