About this property

Resting on the outskirts of the lovely village of Delabole in Cornwall is this traditional holiday home, The Coastal House. Perfect for a family or friends sharing, The Coastal House offers off-road parking and is within close proximity to local amenities. Inside, Delabole slate flooring made from one large piece steals the show, leaving the sitting room cool in the summer months and adding plenty of character to the space. Relax in front of the open fire with a film on the TV, before making your way into the kitchen to rustle up a delicious dinner for your party on the gas Range. From here, gather in the dining room and feast while you plan your next day of adventures at the spacious dining table. Upstairs, you can rest your head with a choice of three bedrooms, two doubles and a twin, each with storage and a neutral décor. In the morning, start your day with a refreshing shower before making your way to the garden for your morning coffee in the fresh air. Give the chef of the group a break from cooking with fish and chips from Smugglers, which is just a short walk away, or perhaps spend your evening at the local pub, The Bettle & Chisel. For days out, be sure to visit the popular Tintagel for a seaside day of fun; the town is known for its castle, and if you're travelling with children you may want to stop at the Tintagel Toy Museum, or take your buckets and spades down to the beach. Take a walk down a footpath to Trebarwith Strand to see the beautiful beaches when the tide is low. Further afield in Port Isaac, you can find the Giant Slip and Slide Cornwall, spend an afternoon on the beach, or enjoy strolls along the coastal path, stopping to admire the scenery at Portwenn View. Whatever the weather, spend your holiday with loved ones at The Coastal House.

This tiny community, once the supplier of the world's best quality building and ornamental slate, is only 2.5 miles from the high cliffs and stunning landscape of the north Cornish coastline. It's an ideal holiday base for walking the South West Coast Path, seeing the high hills of neighbouring Bodmin Moor, or relaxing on the beach at nearby Trebarwith Strand. The quiet coastal community of Port Isaac and the town of Tintagel, with its tourist attractions and King Arthur's fabled castle, are both within a short drive, as is the spectacular surfing beach of Polzeath, which is only nine miles away.
