The cottage is one of the few on this website which looks considerably better in actuality than on the photos. It looks rather basic and pokey on the photos but is actually very classy and more spacious that it seems. It's main plus though is that it is almost on one of Englands finest walks, the north Cornwall coastal walk. Moreover, the bit near this house is truly stunning. To not have to get in a car and drive to a good walk is such a benefit. Nearby there is a pub literally on the coast that must have one of the finest beer gardens in the country and has a great menu and staff also.A few minor quibbles. There is not a lot of crockery or pans in the kitchen. The heating is a strange under the floor affair and you have no means of quickly controlling when it comes on and off. That is fine in the summer, when it is not on, and the winter, when you need it all day, but we were there in autumn, when sometimes it felt too hot so you had to open a door. The garden you see in the photos is also not really the garden for this apartment, which is a smaller patch of non grass and doesn't have much of a view. All in all though, I would definitely come back.

A beautiful cottage in a lovely peaceful location. We were extremely comfortable and enjoyed a relaxing week.I would highly recommend this cottage and it's location even though the narrow Cornish roads take a bit of getting used too !

Had a lovely week at Culvada. Welcoming hosts, lovely rural location, countryside and coastal views. The cottage was spotles and well equipped and much bigger and lighter than the photos suggest. It was fab to be able to walk down through the farm field paths to Trebarwith Strand beach for body boarding, a meal at the pub, ice creams, and the coast path. Driving down to the beach is entertaining, especially if you meet people who cant reverse or wont stick their car in hedgerow, but thats Cornwall for you! We loved it all. The main lane down from Delabole is easy. The coast path stretches from Boscastle to Port Isaac are fab, we did them in three sections, using buses to good effect. Had a fab brunch at the farm shop/cafe along the main road towards Port Isaac. Thanks so much to the lovely owners, would love to return sometime.
