This was our first trip to Cornwall and what a house! The location was perfect for us and it was less than a 10 minute drive to both Rock and Polzeath beaches which was great. We were there with our three children (2,4 and 7) and grandparents and there was so much space for us all to spread out. The 3 double bedrooms are huge and luxurious and the children’s bedroom was adorable and we loved having a downstairs TV room to use in the day with the kids and then the gorgeous living room upstairs with the amazing views too. The utility room was huge and was great for when coming back from the beach. The hot tub was lovely in the evenings once the children had gone to sleep. It was a lovely house for us to stay in and we would definitely recommend!

Very nice, well equipped house, comfortably furnished. Lots of storage space and comfortable beds. Great location, close to Polzeath, Port Isaac, Rock etc. but away from the hustle and bustle of those resorts. We really enjoyed the hot tub which was very warm, after the first night, especially when coming back from a drizzly beach feeling cold! Loved Daymer Bay and Harlyn Bay particularly. Our only gripe was having booked it as it was “dog friendly”, we arrived to find the fence surrounding the property was not solid, so our smallish dog could get through the gaps, and particularly the front gate which led to a fairly busy road. (The maintenance man was very helpful and offered to put some wire mesh in the back garden area, but the owner said he could only do this if we contributed towards it!!) . Hopefully they will rectify this for future guests. Our Rural Retreats booking information said there would be a welcome pack/sundries there such as washing up liquid, soap etc when we arrived, however there wasn’t any, which was very disappointing. Overall a very good holiday in a lovely house, which could be improved with one or two issues resolved.
