About this property

For a romantic retreat oozing charm and style, St Martins Apartment is a great option, providing ground floor accommodation within Rock’s Lundy House. Sleeping two-four people, this one-bedroom property has been fully renovated, and is well-located for exploring the pretty, vibrant region of North Cornwall.

Stylishy furnished throughout, the property is compact yet exceptionally well-equipped. The open-plan kitchen, dining and living area provides the perfect space for you to spend some well-deserved quality time with your loved one, perhaps cooking together or simply snuggling on the comfortable sofa. As well as providing another super spot to settle down with a good book, the conservatory also adds to the mellow atmosphere in this sweet apartment, filing the living accommodation with light. For alfresco breakfasts and evening drinks, the private patio area is also a splendid place to relax whilst soaking up the sunshine.

Spend your days exploring the numerous beaches just a short drive away, like Rock (one mile) or Polzeath (three miles), or take to the nearby South West Coast Path for energetic walks with awe-inspiring views of the unrivalled coastline. Head to Trevathan Farm Shop and Restaurant a 10-minute drive away, and buy some local produce to prepare back at St Martins for a delicious supper. Alternatively, walk to Rock where there is a selection of restaurants, plus many shops including a butchers, bakery and delicatessen. From here, you also have the option of catching the foot ferry across the scenic Camel Estuary to Padstow, where you can enjoy a sumptuous seafood lunch in one of Rick Stein’s eateries, before heading back for an afternoon siesta at your apartment.

Providing a wonderful base for a dreamy week in beautiful surroundings, away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, St Martins Apartment is a very special bolthole.

The small village of Rachub quietly nestles at the foot of the great Carneddau Mountains, amongst the magnificent Snowdonian Mountain Range, just 9 miles from Llanberis and 10 miles from Caernarfon. Housing a traditional shop, welcoming pub, bakery and small Post Office, the area abounds in wonderful walks and cycle trails in the surrounding hills and mountains. The beautiful North Wales Heritage Coastline is within 7 miles, the Zip World zip wire ride in Bethesda is easily accessible for the adrenalin junkies, whilst the bustling market town of Caernarfon is only 10 miles away, boasting a magnificent 13th century castle, pretty art shops, a great golf course and many fine restaurants. The popular tourist centre of Llanberis, renowned as a Mecca for climbers and walkers, lies just 9 miles away and offers a host of outdoor activities, as well as providing some excellent places to eat and drink, coupled with some shops. A superb location all year round, perfect for exploring all that North Wales has to offer.

Pleasant stay at St Martins, but found sofa very uncomfortable in Lounge and conservatory, also lots of cobwebs in conservatory

Love the proximity to local shops and pub. Enjoy the walk down to Rock sea front admiring all the amazing houses!

Under location, it still describes being near Chatsworth and Bakewell in Derbyshire! Information about the availability of WiFi needs to be clearer (fee payable). The property was clean although the patio table was very dirty and clearly had not been cleaned for my arrival. The ceiling light over the dining table did not work and the kitchen clock battery needs to be replaced. I don't like venetian blinds! It's a very nice property and great for walkers or those using cars but quite a walk from the nearest centre in Rock - definitely more than 1 mile to the nearest pub/restaurant and longer to the nearest ice-cream! Is there a local map of the area clearly indicating the footpaths? I used a couple of maps I found, but found them not to be accurate - some paths were not marked and a couple were very overgrown or blocked.
