The apartment itself was a little quirky with a hand basin in the main bedroom and perhaps an excess of furniture, but it was exceptionally clean and well equipped. We were quite lucky with the weather and enjoyed two lovely walks along the South West coastal path to Padstow (no. 56 bus back!) and Constantine Bay. We also hired bikes in Padstow and enjoyed cycling as far as the tea gardens just before Bodmin along the Camel Trail. Not bad for a couple of (almost) septuagenarians! The beach in Harlyn Bay is beautiful and fun to access through the garden and over fields. There arenât many facilities apart from a small surf school, but there is a toilet block and the Beach Box serves excellent snacks for eating al fresco. Further afield we took the car to Port Isaac, somewhere I had wanted to visit for some time. The only tip I would give if you want to eat out during your stay is to do your research and book in advance. We were lucky to fill a cancellation at the Old Mill Bistro in Little Petherick, which was exceptional. A very enjoyable holiday was had by us both!
