About this property

A delightful apartment in an exceptional coastal locationA delightful apartment in an exceptional coastal location

Seahorses forms part of Seaton Beach Apartments, perfectly situated in the village of Seaton on the south coast of Cornwall. The owners have taken great time and effort to ensure the property is furnished in keeping with its beachside location, and their specially appointed interior designer has employed a nautical theme and coastal colours throughout with an unobtrusive underfloor heating system.

There is a cot and highchair provided, and when the little one is settled the balcony, accessible from the main living area, offers a panoramic view of Seaton’s bustling beach, and the seemingly endless Cornish coastline. In the evening, enjoy drinks on the balcony watching the stunning sunsets across the bay.

Modern, spacious and light, the living and dining room is a haven for peace and quiet, and offers a tranquil setting to recharge after a day on the beach, or a trip to nearby St. Georges Island, a gorgeous off shore nature reserve, accessible from East Looe with the Cornwall Wildlife Trust ferry service.

The Smugglers Inn is just a stroll down the road, offering a family friendly environment whether you’re enjoying a drink in the sunshine or having a meal, another great option is the highly acclaimed Blue Plate Restaurant in nearby Downderry. For those wishing to explore the area, the coastal path is within a couple of hundred yards of the apartment, and you can even stroll down to the beach, which has a small river running across it, and rock pools ideal for crabbing. The beach is a popular spot to fish from throughout the year. And no trip to Looe is complete without a trip to the Wild Futures Monkey Sanctuary situated just two miles away.

Seaton itself has a pub, bistro, shop and beach café, and is a new haven for diving enthusiasts following the recent sinking of the Scylla frigate just off the coast. Nearby there is a beautiful path along river valley, and up to Hessenford where The Copley Arms awaits. For the keen golfer, there are challenging courses at Looe and Whitsand Bay if you just can’t resist.

This property can be booked with Mermaids and Starfish, accommodating up to 10 guests.
Please be aware the entire grounds are no smoking. This includes the balcony

...lovely apartment in a great location with the most amazing views. The property is clean, modern and spacious for 2 with plenty of storage and a fantastic balcony for sitting out enjoying that amazing view. Seaton is small and quiet. It has one pub which isn't so good and the Waves bar which has a great location and outlook pls pretty good food. The beach at Seaton is fairly sheltered and has a beachside cafe. There are also plenty of walks you can take from the village itself including the coastal path to Looe and beyond but beware the hills! I'd highly recommend Seahorses as a lovely place to spend a week. We were blessed with sunny and hot weather which definitely helped! The only downside was the squeaky bed and the mattress which both need replacing and did not make for a comfortable night's sleep! Submitted by Mike on 30/05/2016
