About this property

Swallows Nest is a charming first-floor apartment, just a short stroll from the beach in the picturesque setting of Carbis Bay, Cornwall. With off-road parking for two vehicles, this appealing retreat is ideal for families or groups of friends looking to soak up the best of the Cornish coast. Step inside and you’ll find a generous open-plan living space, perfect for kicking back after a day of seaside adventures. The sitting area features a Smart TV and a glowing woodburning stove, just the thing for quiet evenings in. Budding chefs will feel right at home in the well-appointed kitchen, which has everything needed to whip up something delicious to enjoy around the dining table.

Throw open the doors to the balcony and let the sea air in, it’s a fine spot for your morning coffee or a glass of something chilled as the sun sets. Furnished for comfort, the balcony also offers a relaxed setting for dining under the open sky or simply losing yourself in a good read. When it's time to retire for the night, find two beautifully presented bedrooms, each boasting their own en-suite facilities with walk-in showers and walk-in wardrobes. The king-size bedroom offers a touch of elegance, while the twin room provides flexible sleeping arrangements to suit the needs of your group.

The property also benefits from an additional bathroom, fitted with a bath and an overhead shower, ideal for a soothing soak after a day of coastal walks. From adventure to relaxation, all roads lead back to Swallows Nest. Note: This property can be booked with Ref. 1176634, sleeping together up to 12 guests.

Just a short drive from iconic St Ives, the seaside village of Carbis Bay is best known for its beautiful stretch of pure white sand. With turquoise waters and sheltered conditions, the beach feels almost subtropical and is the perfect spot for a good old-fashioned day by the sea. The beach is also home to the Ocean Sports Centre, so if sunbathing is not really your thing, why not hire a kayak or SUP (paddle board) and get out on the water instead? Or why not treat yourself to a Spa day at the delightful hotel which overlooks the beach and has a fabulous terrace where cocktails can be enjoyed in the Cornish sunshine? Carbis Bay has a small range of local shops and restaurants as well as a fish & chip takeaway and railway branch line. The train journey from Carbis Bay into St Ives is perhaps one of the most beautiful in the country; St Ives additionally makes for a great day out, with plenty of galleries to explore. The quayside town of Hayle also isn't far away and is home to activities for all the family, including golf and a wildlife sanctuary. The Godrevy Nature Reserve and Penwith Heritage Coast are also within easy reach from Carbis Bay, providing outdoor and watersports plans with even more activities to partake in, including coasteering and birdwatching. Carbis Bay is truly a wonderful holiday location for those wanting to experience Cornwall's breathtaking coastline.
