About this property

Watching the everchanging colours of the sea from the balcony at Ultramarine is a wonderful way to relax and unwind. Set overlooking one of Cornwall’s most beautiful stretches of coastline the views from this luxury coastal escape are hard to beat. Sleeping four, and within walking distance of the beach, southwest coastal path and attractions of St. Ives Ultramarine, is ideal for any small family or couple. The lounge opens to the infinity glass balcony with table and chairs affording uninterrupted spectacular views over the beach from Porthminster Point to Carrack Gladden (or Hawkes Point), all the way to Godrevy Lighthouse. Recline into one of the two comfortable sofas and enjoy the entertainment package on the Smart TV with Sonos Playbar. The spacious dining area is part of the open plan living area, it comfortably seats 4 people. Open the patio doors, listen to the surf and enjoy the dramatic views across St. Ives Bay. To the rear, a fully fitted modern kitchen is well appointed offering everything you desire while on holiday. The master en-suite bedroom has amazing sea views, open the French doors and drift off to sleep to the sound of the waves or enjoy breakfast with a breath-taking view of the bay. The second room is a twin, located to the rear. This quiet comfortable space ensures a peaceful night’s sleep. The balcony of Ultramarine is accessible from either the lounge or the master bedroom, with a patio table and four chairs. As this is on the second floor, we recommend that children are always accompanied. Dine alfresco or enjoy drinks watching the sun set over St Ives. The balcony is directly above the communal garden from which a path leads down to the beach by a private gate, you can also access the South West coastal path. Alternatively catch the scenic train nearby into St Ives or connect to the main line to discover inspirational Cornwall.

You can get to Carbis Bay in a short drive from St Ives, which is famous for its magnificent stretch of white sandy beach. The beach has a subtropical feel to it thanks to the turquoise water and the shady setting, making it ideal for a lazy day at the shore. Ocean Sports Centre is located on beach, so if sunbathing isn't your thing, why not rent a kayak or stand-up paddleboard and get out on the water instead. Alternatively, why not treat yourself to a spa day at the boutique hotel overlooking the beach and with a lovely patio where cocktails can be enjoyed? In Carbis Bay, you'll find a handful of modest businesses and eateries, as well as a fish-and-chip takeaway and a branch line of the railway. From Carbis Bay to St Ives, the railway ride has to be one of the most beautiful in the United Kingdom.

We absolutely loved the apartment, the views from the balcony across Carbis Bay are amazing. The apartment was clean and very well equipped with everything you need and much much more. Love the art work and soft furnishing and seaside feel. We look forward to staying again, thank you. Rachael, Mark & Mitch.

The views from the apartment are absolutely amazing. It had everything we could possibly need and was immaculately clean. It’s beautiful and very comfortable; no matter the weather! We didn’t want to leave. Thank you so much for a wonderful week and we hope to be back next year.
