Snaptrip says

Guests generally appreciate the stunning views, excellent location, and the added convenience of a garden and parking space. The property is well-equipped and offers a cosy atmosphere, with some guests highlighting the welcome pack as a nice touch. While the location and views are consistently praised, there are comments about the need for updates and addressing dampness issues.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The property is often described as clean, but there are several mentions of a damp smell and sticky surfaces. The majority of guests found it to be clean, but the repeated concerns about specific cleanliness issues have slightly lowered the score.

The location is highly praised for its stunning views, proximity to the beach, and convenient access to St. Ives via train. The garden and coastal path access are also appreciated, making the location almost ideal for guests.

Guests find the property cosy and the bed comfortable, but there are complaints about the sofa bed and the overall dampness affecting comfort. The positive feedback on the bed and cosiness is balanced with the need for improvements in seating comfort.

The property is well-equipped, but guests have suggested upgrades such as a smart TV and better kitchen maintenance. Issues with the shower and heating are noted, indicating a need for attention to facilities and maintenance.

The welcome pack with tea, coffee, and biscuits is frequently mentioned and appreciated, indicating thoughtfulness. However, as not all reviews mention gifts and their presence cannot be guaranteed, the score reflects this uncertainty.

About this property

St Ives 2.1 miles. A superbly located ground floor apartment with stunning far-reaching sea views overlooking the award-winning Blue Flag beach at Carbis Bay in Cornwall. For a romantic getaway for couples who are beach lovers, this location close to the town of St Ives really is hard to beat. With private parking directly outside the apartment, you enter into the light and airy kitchen and dining area before passing the double bedroom and bathroom on the way through to the sitting room. There is also a double sofa bed for flexible sleeping arrangements. Here, even on a stormy day in winter, you will be able to relax and enjoy the amazing sea views across the bay. From the delightful sheltered garden which is shared only with one other apartment, you have direct access onto the coastal path. Turn left and you will be on the magnificent Carbis Bay beach and right to the much quieter beautiful sands of Porth Kidney beach. The apartment is situated in a quiet area of Carbis Bay but with the beach, railway station, restaurants and shops all within five minutes’ walk, the situation is perfect. Everyone will want to visit the picturesque harbour town of St Ives with its award-winning beaches, restaurants, cafes and bars but rather than try and drive and park in this ever-popular town, it is strongly recommended that you take the scenic four-minute train ride from the nearby station enabling you to enjoy your day to the full. A wonderful location offering comfortable accommodation all year round.

One of Cornwall's prettiest harbour towns, St Ives offers narrow streets, tight-packed cottages nestling around the quayside, the Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth museum, fabulous beaches, superb shops, a thriving community of artists, great pubs and restaurants and much more. With its semi Bohemian lifestyle and romantic air, it's easy to see why this is the county's premier holiday resort.

Well nothing has changed unfortunately this is why I am writing this. The place is damp and smells very musky so not good for someone who has chest problems or asthma The sofa is very old and uncomfortable, it needs replacing The mattress is filthy, absolutely filthy and you don't see it until you strip the bed after your stay, yes you do have to strip the bed These things I complained about from my last stay so was hoping these would of been addressed but clearly not There is a electric dehumidifier and some small water ones behind the TV and under the bed it's so damp. Electric meter on show, we turned it off as I don't want reminding of how much electricity I've used. Out door furniture needs a clean Good points, 5 mins walk to the beach, back gate leads to the pathway around the coast, 4 mins to the station to catch train to St Ives at £2 return Unkept garden to sit in at night to listen to the waves Lovely friendly dog Yogi next door a delight to see each morning Own parking for one car Not wheel chair friendly due to the steps down to the house Nice hot shower, no shower plug or USB port. Fluffy towels were welcomed, new cooker, tea, coffee & pint of milk in the fridge, washing machine works fine but no where to dry only towel rail in bathroom It's a shame they haven't sorted the damp issue and changed the mattress as it's gross!!

Beautiful views and access to footpaths for walking our dog and visiting local area are really good. Comfortable and clean, all the necessary things are included. A big thumbs up !!!

We have had a fantastic time both times we have stayed. The view from the living room is superb, St Ives on one side and Godrevey on the other. The flat is so warm and comfortable - everything you need for a break away. Location, for us, is great. Lots of walks straight out of the front door. Easy parking. lovely to have the dog bowls and poo bags there! We are certainly planning on visiting again.
