A short walk will take you to the stunning Carbis Bay Beach, the secluded bay is ideal for trying to surf or paddle board, lifeguards are on duty at peak times, it also allows access to the South West coastal path, this wonderful cliffside walk goes towards Hayle in one direction and St Ives in the other, St Ives is a traditional Cornish fishing village, with amazing art galleries including The Tate and Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden, one of the town’s former famous residents, there is a selection of sandy beaches and many restaurants, cafes and independent shops filling it’s pretty cobbled streets, hop on the scenic railway to travel back to Carbis Bay, the line connects the village and its surrounding area, hugging the coastline it’s a mesmerizing journey. Further afield, Cornwall’s Eden Project is world famous for its glorious enclosed rainforest, Pendennis Castle in Falmouth is one of many of Cornwall’s historic landmarks, along with St Michaels Mount near Penzance, the jewel in Cornwall’s crown this is a sight not to miss, if you travel from Penzance to Lands’ End treat yourself to a night’s entertainment at the Minack, set in the cliffs it has one of the most dramatic settings for an open air theatre, if you really are dreaming of a memorable holiday in Cornwall then Kernow’s Dream offers a fabulous place to start.

Short drive from St Ives, Carbis Bay is renowned for its stunning length of sugar-sand shoreline. Located on the north coast of the island, the beach features turquoise waters and sheltered circumstances that make it feel nearly tropical. The beach is also home to the Ocean Sports Center, so if sunbathing isn't your thing, why not rent a kayak or SUP and get out on the water instead? The boutique hotel next door, which has a lovely patio where you can sip cocktails while taking in the view of the beach, offers spa days as an additional option. Small local businesses and eateries, such as Carbis Bay's fish & chip store and railroad branch, are all found in this seaside town. The railway ride from Carbis Bay to St. Ives, Cornwall, may be the most picturesque in the United Kingdom.
