About this property

The stunning views from the bay window of Dolphin Watch are a joy. This contemporary first-floor apartment is aptly named too, if you are lucky you may spot dolphins playing in the bay. However, the view alone is breath-taking, stretching across Carbis Bay beach to St Ives and out to Godrevy Lighthouse. Sleeping four in two well-presented bedrooms, it’s perfect for a family holiday or romantic beach retreat. A wall of windows showcases this amazing seascape in the open plan sitting and dining area. Sit down in the window seat or relax in one of the two large sofas and enjoy watching nature at play or enjoy the entertainment provided on a Smart TV with Freeview. The dining area is to the rear of the sitting area benefitting from its wonderful sea views. This delightful space is furnished with wooden floors, a large dining table, six matching chairs and a large serving hatch to the kitchen, allowing the cook to still join in the fun. The chef won’t miss out on the sea views either as a second opening from the kitchen to the sitting area reveals more ocean scenes. A well-appointed stylish kitchen to the rear has everything you need in your superb home from home. Both bedrooms are to the rear and separated from the rest of the living accommodation by glass sliding doors. This is a bonus if you or your children want an early night without being disturbed by others in the living room. The master bedroom has a beautifully dressed double bed, the second room is fitted with a single bed and a bunk bed. The second room is also large enough for the travel cot which is provided. The bathroom of Dolphin Watch is incredibly spacious with ceramic wall tiles and wood effect flooring. The beautiful communal gardens of Gwel Marten are available for guests to use and benefit from stunning views and access to the South West Coastal Path and Carbis Bay beach. The coastal path offers a dramatic scenic walk to the beautiful Cornish fishing village of St Ives or you can catch the scenic railway nearby. This visits St Ives and the surrounding area and is one of the most beautiful train journeys in the country. Dolphin Watch’s setting is truly magical and we’re sure you’ll fall in love with this beachside retreat and who knows you may spot some extra friends too.

Located just a short drive from St Ives, the beach community of Carbis Bay is renowned for its stunning stretch of sugar-white sand.

For an old-fashioned beach day, the beach has turquoise waves and sheltered circumstances that make it feel like you're in a subtropical location. Ocean Sports Centre is located on beach, so if sunbathing isn't your thing, why not rent a kayak or stand-up paddleboard and get out on the ocean instead? For a truly luxurious experience, why not book yourself a day at the luxurious hotel, which overlooks the beach and has a lovely terrace from where you can sip cocktails in the Cornish sunshine? Small local businesses and eateries, such as Carbis Bay's fish & chip shop and railroad spur, are all found in this seaside town.

The photos don't do the place justice. There was loads of room for the four of us, comfortable beds, hot shower, TV and Alexa, every appliance we could want, even buckets and spades for the beach.... But the view was just incredible. The train station at the end of the road made it easy getting into st Ives and carbis bay beach was just lovely.. My kids had a great time and so did we. The only thing that could have made it better where tongs in the kitchen and the wardrobes made our clothes damp, but this is a small gripe against an absolutely lovely Easter break.

We’ve stayed in Carbis many times and this has been our favourite place so far! Spacious, clean and very well equipped. It’s well positioned to get into St Ives on the train or just walking to Carbis Beach. We even saw lots of seals in the sea. Highly recommended
