The clever open plan design allows the stunning sea views to flow throughout the living area, so whether you are dining, cooking or relaxing you can enjoy its coastal setting, through the bay window and sliding patio doors, which open out onto a glass fronted balcony, slide them open breathe in the fresh sea air or step outside and wow at the panoramic views across the bay to St Ives, the whole living area is flooded with natural light through the floor to ceiling glass balcony doors, two comfy chairs are perfectly placed in front of the bay window, so sit back and enjoy the everchanging colours of the ocean, or cosy up on either of the red leather sofas and enjoy the entertainment on the large television, with full Sky package, including cinema and sport.
The kitchen and dining area is perfectly positioned within the open plan living area, benefiting from the sea views through the glass patio doors, a smoked glass table, which will comfortably seat eight adults, sits in front of the doors, making it a wonderful space to entertain, or for meals with family and friends, the contemporary open plan kitchen, is ideally located behind the dining area, ideal for socialising with the chef, is well-appointed with spacious granite worktops and breakfast bar, complete with black leather stools, the utility room in the garage houses a washing machine and separate tumble dryer.
There is a choice of four comfortable bedrooms, the seaward facing master king sized bedroom is on the top floor, to benefit from the best views of the bay, a 20 to 60 magnification zoom lens spotting scope is provided for your pleasure, just in case the dolphins decided to play in the surf, the other bedrooms are on the ground floor, a second king sized bedroom is adjacent to the family bathroom, and two twin rooms with private en-suite shower rooms, all enjoy televisions and plenty of space for storage.
The main family bathroom is on the ground floor and has an indulgent “P shaped” bath with overhead Grohe thermostatic shower, a wonderful space to escape to and relax amongst the bubbles, a further shower room with an enclosed shower is on the first floor.
The seaward facing balcony is accessed via the doors in the living area, two bistro patio sets provide a wonderful space to enjoy drinks while watching the spectacular sun sets over St Ives, the rear courtyard with an elevated decking area, offers easy access from the kitchen for dining alfresco, two tables, eight patio chairs and a barbeque are provided to help you enjoy Cornwall’s outdoor lifestyle.
Nearby St Ives Road is ideal for shops and busses to St Ives, a short walk brings you to the South West Coast Path, this heads to Hayle Estuary in one direction and towards St Ives in the other, this cliffside walk is wonderful for watching wildlife and is a healthy fun way to explore the area.
Carbis Bay Beach is a short stroll down the hill, this secluded bay has been awarded a Blue Flag for its stunning azure-coloured waters, which lap onto its golden shores, its life guarded at peak times, perfect for experiencing water sports and swimming.
St Ives is a tourist hot spot, this traditional Cornish fishing village has a wonderful selection of restaurants serving locally caught sea food from its working harbour, its pretty cobbled streets are filled with cafes, boutiques and art galleries, the largest is The Tate and Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden, here you’ll find the work of one of the towns former famous residents celebrated, after sightseeing and enjoying its sandy beaches, hop on the scenic railway for a relaxing return journey along the coast to Carbis Bay, the line runs beside the sea and the views are breath-taking.
Cornwall is Poldark country, and many of its filming locations featuring tin mines, hidden coves and historic houses used in the BBC TV series can be visited, for a little romance book a show at Cornwall’s open air theatre, near Land’s End, the Minack is carved out of a Cornish cliff, you may want to stop for a selfie at Land’s End’s iconic sign post first, St Michaels Mount near Penzance and Pendennis Castle, near Falmouth are magical historic sites to explore, if you love gardens the Eden Project near St Austell will delight you, with its indoor rainforests, feeding the animals at Paradise Park, in Hayle or the thrilling rides at Flambards Theme Park, near Helston, should ensure smiles all round for the kids.
