It is accessed via a country lane leading to Old Town Cove and the Camel Trail, offering pedestrian and bicycle access to Wadebridge and Padstow. St Issey, with a welcoming pub, is 1.5 miles away, while Padstow is approximately 5 miles by road or a leisurely bike ride away. Wadebridge, just 4 miles away, boasts shops, restaurants, a cinema, and a leisure centre. Padstow's harbour offers boat trips, while a foot ferry crosses the estuary to Rock, a water sports haven.

A spiral staircase with open-tread wooden stairs built into a curved, brick-faced wall leads to the first floor and the social heart of this home: with an open-plan kitchen/lounge/diner and views across the countryside and to the estuary. Relax and watch TV after a day exploring your surroundings or gather around the dining table for an evening of board games. The modern country kitchen is equipped with everything you'll need for your stay, whether it's a home-cooked meal or a picnic for a day exploring your surroundings. The spiral staircase continues up to a 3ft twin room tucked into the apex of the roof, with rural views from a Velux window and an en-suite WC – best suited to children because of the limited head space (doorway approximately 5ft high).
Outside, a small lawn to one side of the property offers a peaceful retreat with a picnic table and charcoal BBQ to dine alfresco, while a lockable store across the lane provides storage for bicycles and beach gear, perfect for holidaymakers seeking outdoor adventure.

Trailside is a cosy cottage sleeping 4 just off the camel trail. Its in a great location for a 2 mile stroll or bike ride into Padstow, or a longer trek in the other direction to Wadebridge. A nice touch was to be left some Cornish team, coffee and biscuits. The cottage has a spiral stair case and you definitely have to mind your head when entering the hobbit sized door into the loft bedroom. If you are an adult, using the upstairs toilet standing up is challenging due to the low ceiling. Even with good lighting and reminders be prepared to bump your head :) So you will need to keep a close eye on small children and I would not recommend it for anyone less mobile. Generally its well kitted out with a respectable Kitchen and downstairs bathroom but some of the fixtures and fittings are a bit tired. Lack of tumble dryer is probably less of an issue in summer months.

If you want to go off grid its a good option as the internet is 1.3mbps making browsing the web difficult if not impossible. You can’t stream anything. Again, with children no internet is a problem. (I think the owner is improving this)
