From here you can peer over the Camel Estuary onto Rock Beach, a spot well worth visiting via the passenger ferry from Padstow (4.5 miles on foot, 11.5-mile drive). Find a hive of activities just 2-3 miles in the opposite direction, with the Tide Climbing Centre and Camel Creek Theme Park for kids and a wonderful local vineyard for the grown-ups.
