Port Isaac is a real Cornish gem. The historic settlement, nestled in a steep-sided valley, has remained untouched from its days of fishing, slate export, and smuggling in the previous century. There are various tiny character residences, as well as larger cliff-top getaways, with easy access to the village's numerous restaurants and stores. As the water recedes, the sandy harbour creates an abundance of rock pools. It's only a short drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer, and Rock, making it ideal for both romantic and family vacations. There is plenty of parking at the village's peak.

Layout of Lodge good with all the facilities needed. Lovely and peaceful.

Bigger and better than we’d imagined. As instructed, we informed owners of our arrival and the fact that one of the glass tumblers was cracked. Some sort of acknowledgment of our message would have been reassuring. The accommodation was great. We would make a couple more suggestions to ensure suitability for disabled persons: Provide soap-holder in shower; Mirror at lower level, for those in wheelchair; Tap spouts over kitchen sink could do with being longer (currently too short to enable filling of plastic bowl)

Very cold wind and showery. Puffin lodge was the perfect base. After walking all day we returned to a very well equipped lodge that was beautifully warm and copious amounts of hot water for showers. A couple of small suggestions, please add some coat hooks and a shower caddy. The views were great but it would be better if the guests cars parked at the sides of the lodges and did not obstruct the view. Overall a great place to stay, we will be back if you will have us.
