Guests say

Pebblestones in Port Isaac is highly praised for its stunning views, comfortable furnishings, and well-equipped kitchen. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches, including a welcome pack, and the property's cleanliness. The location is ideal for exploring Cornwall, with some minor concerns about building work and cleanliness under furniture.

The property generally receives high marks for cleanliness, with well-cleaned main areas. However, some guests noted dust under furniture and unclean kitchenware upon arrival, slightly affecting the score.

The location is consistently lauded for its spectacular views and proximity to local attractions. Despite some comments about building work, the location remains a highlight for guests.

Guests find the property warm, welcoming, and comfortable, with special mentions of comfy beds and a homely feel. A few minor niggles with facilities slightly impact the score.

Facilities are generally rated as high quality, with a well-stocked kitchen and utility room. Some issues with non-working towel rails, TVs, and outdoor furniture maintenance have been noted.

While guests have mentioned a welcome pack and the provision of games and beach equipment, there is not enough consistent information on thoughtfulness across reviews to provide a score. It should be noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and not guaranteed.

About this property

Pebblestones is a detached bungalow located in an elevated position at the top of Port Isaac, North Cornwall. The property sleeps six and boasts breath-taking sea vistas and relaxed, sociable living accommodation, perfect for a family holiday or group getaway.

Kick off your beach or walking shoes in the utility or porch - both rooms have doors that lead into an open-plan living room with French windows that frame the panoramic, striking view of the famous harbour. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need to cook up delicious feasts, ideally located next to the dining area, whilst the sitting area is a wonderful space to relax and unwind with a woodburning stove, TV and plush furnishings, not forgetting the exquisite views that stretch over the surrounding coastline.

In the evenings retreat along the hallway leading to three spacious bedrooms and a family bathroom. The double bedroom has a king-size bed and boasts sea views and an en-suite shower room, a second bedroom boasts a double bed, and a third twin room has harbour views. The large utility room, which opens out into the garage, boasts a sink and shower, ideal for washing off wetsuits!

Outside, a generous furnished terrace is a magical spot to watch stunning sunsets over the harbour.

A 10-minute downhill walk from the bungalow is the heart of Port Isaac with centuries-old buildings sporting eateries, shops and galleries. At low tide, the harbour exposes a small beach to relax, go kayaking and watch fishermen reel in the catch of the day.

For a day out, walk from the property to Port Quin for a stunning coastal hike, best enjoyed with a delicious cream tea picnic. Further afield, the historic town of Wadebridge, with its host of shops, its weekly market and its restaurants is a mere 8-mile drive away.

Perfectly located to enjoy panoramic views of the village, with convenient access to the best that North Cornwall has to offer, Pebblestones is a fantastic holiday home for a family or group of friends.

Port Isaac; one of the true Cornish treasures. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. Only ten minutes drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike. There is ample parking at the top of the village.

Facilities were amazing - it had everything we needed and more. The views are spectacular and we would recommend the property to others. The welcome pack was very much appreciated, thank you.

We loved the property and the views from the two bedrooms and lounge were spectacular! The bedrooms are all decorated beautifully as we were initially worried as there are no photos of the twin room and other double. The kitchen was very well stocked and we were impressed with the cupboards being stuffed full of board games to play with, there were even some buckets and spades and nets! The utility room was useful for showering down sandy wetsuits and hanging them out to dry. The only thing that was a bit of a shame was that we couldn't eat outside due to the crazy seagulls as they will dive down and steal your food (a neighbour told us that it is nesting season and the baby seagulls should fly away soon and they should calm down). Fine for drinks though! The only minor issues we had was that the hot water in the family bathroom can suddenly go very hot so you have to be careful. It was fine in the ensuite as it was electric though. Also Ideally the showers could do with a deep clean around the base of the shower tray. I gave them a quick scrub and clean and they looked better after. We found Port Isaac lovely and a perfect base to explore the coast. We enjoyed pizza at The Angry Anchovy, and Sunday dinner at The Golden Lion and The Mote. We visited Polzeath, went body boarding at Constantine and our children loved jumping off the rocks at the 'Mermaid' natural sea pool at Trevone Bay and swimming at Port Gaverne. We even went swimming there at 9.30 pm one evening! All in all a great stay and we would love to return!
