Once parked, walk up to your door with its charming gold seahorse door knocker.
Inside, all is revealed, a superb open-plan living space, with hand-crafted fixtures and fittings throughout. The kitchen is well-equipped, bright, and spacious with its own breakfast bar. The dining area accommodates six guests with ease whilst the living room has quality soft furnishings and sumptuous seating, a lovely wood burner for those chilly evenings, and a generous-sized TV. There is a useful utility room with a washing machine too. The stairs with their stylish black and white banisters lead up to the first floor from where the views become even more impressive. All three bedrooms offer en-suite facilities and underfloor heating; bedroom one has a king-size bed, TV, walk-in shower, and, oh, those sea views! Bedroom two, with its charming mint green colour scheme, has a kingsize zip and link facility, sea views, a quirky sun-funnel, and a walk-in shower. The third bedroom is quite delightful in subtle pink hues, with a double bed, shower, and superb hand-made vanity units. Venture outside and you will find a secluded space with garden furniture, ideal for morning coffee before you set off!
The hot tub is in an idyllic setting with room for eight guests, and offers a wondrous view towards Mevagissey harbour. Then, of course, you have your own sympathetically restored railway carriage! With super lighting and electric sockets. You can take a ferry from Mevagissey to Fowey, an ancient port set within beautiful surroundings and full of charm. Visit St Austell, a town with many amenities and visible links to the once-thriving mining industry here.
The Wheal Martyn Museum is well worth a visit, whilst the world-renowned Eden Project is a short drive away; here huge Biomes protect the world’s largest indoor rainforest and so much more besides! Wherever your adventures take you, you are truly spoilt for choice and at the day’s end, retire home to Windmills, an unforgettable and very special place. Beach 2 miles.

Had a fantastic week, the dog loved the garden space, hot tub was fab and accommodated 5 people easily, beds were really comfy, kitchen area and cooking was a breeze with everything provided, there were a couple of things that we reduced points on, cleanliness, lots of dog hairs under the sofa and cobwebs in bedrooms, my granddaughter hates spiders so we had to sweep all the bedroom windows and walls in the bedrooms. on arrival the cleaners indicated the previous guests had left the cottage a mess and would be some time before we could gain access, so we did take that into consideration, the Wi-Fi constantly dropped out and the 4g signal is poor in the area, the TV had Ariel issues and kept cutting out, again these were small issues as we played cards and family games. Overall we had a fab time and thanks to Vicki and Ray who were prompt to respond to requests and always helpful, would definitely return.

Windmills is a fabulous place to stay for a wonderful holiday. The house is well equipped, comfortable for 6 people and stylish too. The hot tub is a great feature, especially on those not so sunny days when chilling at home still felt like a luxury. Being able to bring two dogs was also a key point as it meant that our two families could all be in the same cottage. We would definitely book this property again.
