Guests say

Wheal Kendall is a well-equipped cottage in St. Austell, Cornwall, offering stunning views of Mevagissey Harbour. Guests appreciate the spacious rooms, entertainment options, and the well-stocked kitchen. The property's hillside location provides a picturesque setting, though the steep walk to town may challenge some. While some minor maintenance and cleanliness issues are noted, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

Cleanliness has received mixed feedback. Some guests reported issues such as unemptied bins and unclean BBQs, while others made no mention of cleanliness problems. The property seems to rely on the previous occupants' tidiness, which suggests occasional oversight.

The location is highly praised for its magnificent views and proximity to local attractions. However, the steep walk from the town and the incorrect address listing have caused some inconvenience. The location is ideal for able-bodied guests and offers a rewarding experience.

The property is generally considered comfortable, with spacious rooms and powerful showers. Some guests suggested improvements such as higher seated chairs and lighter duvets for summer. The comfort level is suitable for most guests, though those with mobility issues may find challenges.

Facilities are well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and entertainment options. However, there are reports of maintenance issues like shower drainage problems and the need for a larger toaster. The lack of electric car charging and occasional Wi-Fi issues are also noted.

There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

Really good house. Warm for a large house. Worked well for us. Storage for wet things and bike would be an added plus for the rental

Lovely views over mevagissey Easy to find and get access to the property The only points I would suggest may be a "welcome pack" with bread milk and essentials would've been appreciated A BBQ would've been a bonus with the decking being so picteresque And a bigger toaster - only a 2 slice was available and it's a big house

The bedrooms worked really well and the kitchen was well stocked with good quality appliances. The views are absolutely amazing and we loved the balconies off the main bedrooms. The only tiny negative is the wrought iron furniture on them both was shabby and rusty. A lovely stay though and one we would love to repeat.
