Just a few minutes’ walk from Duporth Beach (a private beach which is open to guests of Cornish Fun) and all the amenities and harbour of Charlestown, featured in Poldark, Cornish Fun is a simply fabulous holiday home.
Cornish Fun is the idyllic home from home; perfect for a couple’s retreat or family getaway to Cornwall.
This thoroughly appointed property is set over two floors. On entering the Cornish Fun, you will be greeted by a cosy sitting room with comfortable seating, a television and french doors leading out to the large enclosed garden with a sunny patio, lawn and barbecue. On the left of the entrance is a fully-equipped kitchen with a dining table seating six guests; ideal for enjoying family meals. There is also a cloakroom on the ground floor with a wash basin and WC.
The master bedroom is located on the first floor and has a comfortable king-size bed, television and en-suite shower room. Opposite is two bedrooms, each with a cosy single bed and the family bathroom with a bath, hand-held shower.
Just a few minutes’ walk from the property is the golden sands, rock pools and safe waters of Duporth; a privately owned beach which is open to guests of Cornish Fun.
Keen walkers can enjoy the stunning South West Coast Path which can be accessed directly from the estate. This path can also be used to wander down to the close by harbour town of Charlestown. Home to stunning tall ships, a variety of independent shops, cafes, restaurants and the brilliant Shipwreck Museum. The town was also featured in the popular television series, Poldark.
A short drive on from Cornish Fun is St Austell; one of Cornwall’s biggest towns. It’s rich mining history put this market town on the map and a visit to the nearby Wheal Martyn China Clay Museum it is a great place to soak up some Cornish history. It is also home to the world-famous Eden Project.

The M Family
We had a lovely stay at Cornish Fun. The house is clean, well equipped, spacious, light and well located for a nip into Charlestown, a day out at The Eden Project and also for accessing the main roads to explore the rest of Cornwall. We went did some fabulous exploring, going all the way down to Land's End, which is an easy day trip. It helped that we totally lucked out with the weather, which was warm and bright for early March.

The A Family
A lovely and very clean house, in a good quiet neighbourhood. Charlestown is within walking distance, it is quite an effort for older people on the way back up the hill, but it is worth it. There is a variety of eating choices in Charlestown, but because of the pandemic we did have to book and it is advised to do as soon as you arrive. It is a scenic little harbour which is popular with TV Companies for filming. Charlestown is an excellent location for visiting other places, even getting to the other coast for Newquay and Padstow

wonderful family holiday. We loved the private beach, very peaceful exhilarating swims in the sea. Delicious meal at the Rosleigh Arms in Charlestown, just a short walk away. We drove up to Crantock to catch some waves, good body boarding fun, had drinks at the Albich Arms afterwards which was a welcome treat. Lovely house and garden, comfortable and well positioned. Fabulous days out at the Eden project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan. Beautiful even in the rain. Thank you for a fab time in amazing Cornwall at 'Cornish Fun'.
