About this property

With high vaulted ceilings and exposed beams, Dovecote is a superbly converted barn nestled amongst a small hamlet of cottages next to Treveague Farm, just half a mile and a short walk from the beautiful small fishing village of Gorran Haven, near Mevagissey. Approaching the cottage down a long private drive you are greeted with far-reaching sea and countryside views. Be welcomed into the light and airy open-plan living space, where you will find a well-equipped kitchen for rustling up hearty meals, ready to enjoy at the dining table for four over a bottle of wine. After dinner, kick-back and relax on the plush sofas as you select a much-loved show on the TV with Freeview and DVD player. Continue through to the well-appointed shower room where you can freshen up after a day of exploring, before retiring to one of two bedrooms, a double, and a twin which can be found on the first floor. Your adventure to Cornwall begins at Dovecote. Note: This property can be booked with Refs 1100380, 1100377 & 1100382 together sleeping up to 20 guests.

Gorran Haven on Cornwall's south coast, formerly a crab fishing community, is ideally situated for exploring the area's numerous beaches and bays. At low tide, Gorran Haven's little sand beach connects with the larger Great Perhaver beach, making it a popular destination for families. The National Trust owns a large portion of the shoreline in this area, and the South West Coast Path goes through Gorran Haven, making it easily accessible. The 370-foot-high Dodman Point, which rises above Gorran and is considered one of Cornwall's most stunning headlands and the site of numerous shipwrecks, is also within walking distance. Views of Veryan Bay and Vault Beach can be seen from its gorse-covered peaks. To get to Mevagissey, you can take the coastal path to the town's harbour. Located on the coast at Porthluney Cove, Caerhays Castle is a casual 60-acre garden located near Gorran Haven in a lovely setting of woods, stream, and pastureland. Lost Gardens of Heligan, Eden Project, Wheal Martyn China Clay Museum and cathedral town of Truro are just a few of the nearby attractions that offer good shopping and dining options for visitors.
