1 The Saltings is situated in the seaside village and fishing port of Mevagissey, on the coast of Cornwall. Approached via a sloping cobbled lane, this property is well-placed for accessing all of the village's amenities and the superb coast. Inside, the owner has renovated the property to provide a warm and welcoming base for friends and families. Upon entering the property, you come into a modest games room with a small table and chairs and table football, something to keep you occupied during those quieter evenings. The property benefits from its own separate sitting room with two large sofas to curl up and unwind and catch up on the day's events whilst the TV is on in the background. A door leads into the open-plan kitchen/diner, fitted to a high-standard with wooden units and sleek granite worktops providing plenty of preparation space for your meals. Gather at the dining table with a refreshing glass of wine and toast to a wonderful holiday before tucking into your lovingly prepared home-cooked meals. The first floor provides three bedrooms, set up as a super-king-size with a day bed, twin and bunk room, suitable for all types of groups wishing to stay here. Each bedroom has a set of furniture for storage purposes and lovely views out across the village. To the rear of the cottage is a delightful patio area where you can sit out during the summer months and read a good book. While you're in the area, make sure you sample some of Mevagissey's finest pubs and restaurants for some fine Cornish delicacies. Choose to explore the stunning coastline by joining the South West Coast Path, something keen walkers and cyclists will delight in. The nearby towns of Truro and St Austell are within driving distance and have a good range of popular tourist attractions to visit. For a bit of exploration through the woods, The Lost Gardens of Heligan are a must-see attraction with a rich history to discover. Or visit the world renowned attraction of The Eden Project, home to two large biomes filled with exotic plants from around the world, some of which are the only of their kind left in existence. For a charming base for friends or families to explore the delightful Cornish coast, book 1 The Saltings.
The perfect Cornish fishing village, with winding cobbled streets and a picturesque harbour full of boats. Stunning walks lead along the coast in both directions, with sandy beaches, high cliffs and hidden coves to explore. The village has an excellent selection of pubs and restaurants, whilst just up the road are the Lost Gardens of Heligan. A ferry from Mevagissey to Fowey also runs daily between Easter and September. Spend some time at the Tall Ships harbour at Charlestown (7 miles) with its shipwreck museum, or among the tropical biomes of the world-famous Eden Project (11 miles). The stunning coastline, fabulous beaches and renowned gardens of the beautiful Roseland Peninsula are a short drive down the coast while Truro, with its shops, restaurants, theatre and cathedral can be reached by car in half an hour.
