Gargoyle is a lovely Cornish cottage, tucked away in a quiet spot, nestled ideally in between the heart of the picturesque village of St Agnes and a short walk away from the stunning Travaunance Cove. A deceptively spacious well equipped cottage, it retains cosy period features while providing all the convenience of modern day living. This hidden gem, really is the perfect ‘home from home’ for family and friends to enjoy all year round.

From the front gate, Gargoyle welcomes you through its delightful well stocked front garden. The cottage benefits from two sitting areas on the ground floor; a pleasant sitting room with television along with an additional snug area with leather armchairs and a classic wood burning stove to nestle up next to on the winter evenings after a day of exploring the coastal paths nearby. At the rear of the cottage is a beautiful and fully equipped kitchen including a good size dining area.

Upstairs are three good size cottage style double bedrooms, all tastefully decorated with comfortable beds for a good night’s sleep. The bedroom at the rear has a double bed with an en-suite shower room; whilst facing the front garden is another double bedroom along with a twin room. There is also a good sized family bathroom.

Off the kitchen is a little porch leading out to a private, sunny, paved courtyard garden. This is a glorious area and makes the ideal spot for a sunny afternoon tea with the family. A large garage is accessed from the garden for parking and storing your surfboards or mountain bikes

The picturesque village which sits in an area of outstanding natural beauty, boasts an excellent range of amenities, including its own local bakery, butchers, greengrocers, convenience stores etc, plus fantastic public houses and restaurants. A stroll down to Travaunance Cove offers a beautiful sandy beach ideal for sand castles, surfing and at low tide rock pooling, while for anyone who enjoys walking, the cove gives easy access to cliff top walks with spectacular coastal scenery that can be enjoyed from the South West coastal path to the National Trust site of Chapel Porth.

We enjoyed a lovely week here with family. The cottage was ideally suited for our family of 6 people plus a baby. It is spacious, stylish, clean and very well equipped with a pretty outdoor area that was perfect for an evening BBQ. Parking was also a bonus for Cornwall! We had never stayed in St Agnes before, but loved everything the village has to offer. We enjoyed meals at The Tap House and Peterville Inn which are both just a two minute walk from the house. Up in the main village we also had a fabulous meal at Taste. Down by the beach we can highly recommend Schooners bar, just to sit looking out across the beach whilst enjoying a drink and some delicious Tacos. Driftwood Spars by the beach has a lovely outdoor area and also serves great food! For anyone who enjoys walking its a stunning walk from the beach, south along the coastal path to Chapel Porth beach via Wheal Coates tin mine. The Owner was a very helpful and accommodating in all our communications. We would highly recommend a stay here! Thank you!

Fabulous cottage in a prime location, fully equipped and the parking was a real bonus. Stayed with another couple and our 3 year and 5 month old.. plenty of space and great layout for the children. Would definitely stay here again. 10 out of 10!!!

Lovely spacious house, with everything that you need, off road parking is brilliant. The location, being central allows you to walk to the beach or to the local pubs and restaurants without having to drive. Very pretty village and friendly people. Have been to this cottage on a few occasions over the years, and we never want to leave.
