… 2½ miles from St Agnes and 1¼ miles by bridleway and footpath from the 16th cent. pub in Mithian (village) are three detached cottages, of which we let two, in 3 acres of deeply wooded, landscaped gardens (for you to enjoy), full of rhododendron, camellia, mature trees, a lily pond and little trout stream (toddlers must be supervised). All lovingly created from a bramble wilderness by the charming owners who live in one of the cottages. Cornwall Wildlife Trust woodlands (footpaths) adjoin the gardens. Reached by 700 yards of uneven hardcore track from a road, it is an incredibly private, tranquil place with only the occasional passing horse rider.
The Granary is a pretty little single-storey cottage with stable doors into open-plan living/dining/fitted kitchen (microwave) with TV/DVD/video, woodburner; bathroom (suite, shower over bath); double bedroom with very pretty views through French windows to patio (table/chairs) and daisy-covered lawn.
