For the more energetic the Blue Flag beaches at Whitesand Bay and Gwynver are a fifteen minute walk down the hill by cliff path

Coastal footpath leading round Mayon Cliff to Lands End has stunning scenery

Pleasure flights to the Isles of Scilly are available from the Lands End airstrip nearby

Penzance is a 15 minute drive and has a good selections of shops, galleries and gardens with fishing excursions from the harbour

St Ives, with its galleries, beaches and cafes is within easy reach by car, open top bus or train, and the Minack theatre is a summer highlight
