Commanding full vantage across the picturesque cove, the location is idyllic for beach lovers, surfers and families with young children, and the sight of Atlantic rollers breaking onto the foreshore will hold you spellbound even on a winter's day. Single storey, inside Surf Cottage's granite stone walls lies a spacious open design living room where squashy sofas rest on a natural slate floor; the kitchen boasts a generous range of oak cabinets with glossy black granite worktops, and washing up is never a chore when standing at the Belfast sink looking out to sea! A beautifully fitted bathroom and two tasteful bedrooms add to the comfort. An outside shower is useful for sluicing down children and wetsuits after a day on the beach. Bounded by a low wall with picket gates at each end there is security for very young children to play on the patio, whilst the cove with its breaking surf and intriguing rock pools to be explored at low tide, is an ample playground for all. Portreath is a small yet vibrant resort with a choice of shops, traditional pubs, cafes and restaurants. Breathtaking walks along the coastal footpath over windswept headlands provide an opportunity to experience the majestic beauty of the Cornish coastline. The 18 hole parkland golf course at Tehidy Park Golf Club is within a ten minute drive and the must-see seaside resorts of Porthtowan, St Ives, St Agnes are all within a 30 minute drive.

Portreath is nestled in a stream valley between high cliffs. It has a secluded sandy, safe beach which is popular with families and surfers alike. The village has several shops including beach shops, a take away, several pubs and cafes, plus cliff tops for walking with panoramic seascapes.
