Didn’t receive a great welcome, we collected key from the owners restaurant and told that the cottage is on the right hand side of Duck Street and we’re here every day from 9 o clock if you need anything just let us know. That was it nobody showed us around the property and explained anything about it.Very good starter pack is provided including tea, coffee, milk,Dishwasher tablets, plenty of toilet rolls.Generous £10 gift voucher to use at owners deli or restaurant, also 10% discount off all bills at restaurant.Upon entering the property we immediately noticed the large clock on the wall which wasn’t working.When using oven we found a couple of dirty trays, which we had to clean prior to use.Obviously change over cleaning isn’t checked by the owner.There’s no instructions for appliances.No microwave despite one being shown in properly description we bought microwaveable food with us to save using the oven in extremely hot conditions.We would suggest a coffee table should be placed in front of the sofa. We had to bring a stool down from the bedroom otherwise drinks would have to be placed on the floor.TV’s are too small, very difficult to read guide from sofa or bed, we had to stand near TV’s to make channel selection not that there was much choice because of a very poor selection of channels available.There’s a floor mat in the bedroom which we found to be a trip hazard.There’s a small step into bathroom which is also a potential trip hazard.The Toilet seat is loose and twisted.The Bed is very comfortable, probably the best in any accommodation including hotels we have stayed in.A Great shower and lovely large bath sheets.We are both in our 70’s and found the stairs to be dangerous and scary, no handrail at the top, we believe it’s possible for one to be fitted.Sadly we will not be returning, purely because of the stairs other than that this cottage is an excellent choice for a relaxing stay in beautiful Mousehole.

A lovely lovely place to stay. Wonderful to Lie in bed looking over the Mousehole rooftops and bird watch. The bath is gorgeous The kitchen is minimal but the space downstairs is spacious but also cosy.
