For those who love a taste of traditional coastal Cornwall, Newlyn with its working harbour, fishermen cottages, independent eateries and surrounding beaches, is the perfect choice. Set within a short drive of some of Cornwall’s best attractions like St Michaels Mount in Marazion, Pedn Vounder Beach in Porthcurno, and Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens in Penzance, this fishing town is a terrific all-rounder for magical holidays on the Cornish coast.

Light-filled and airy, Lulyn offers a superb base for your Newlyn holiday. The cottage is set over two floors and though newly refurbished, still maintains its original features. These, together with its contemporary décor, elegant furnishings and creature comforts, make for an extremely comfortable base whether to socialise and entertain with friends, or for relaxing and unwinding after days spent exploring the coast with family. Upstairs, three inviting bedrooms including two doubles and a twin, offer ample room for six guests. All are beautifully styled and have beds adorned with sustainable luxury linens from local interior boutique Fou Furnishings. Both double bedrooms have TV’s with Freeview, and one is en-suite with its own gorgeous shower room. On the ground floor, the open plan living / dining room opens out to a private courtyard garden with outdoor dining set, so on warm days you’ll be able rustle up lunch before flinging open the doors to enjoy dining in the fresh air.

Newlyn’s food scene is thriving and three of its best eateries including the Tolcarne Inn, Mackerel Sky Seafood Bar and Argoe are a short stroll away. Nearby are the towns of Penzance, Mousehole and Marazion; all within easy reach by car or a scenic walk along the coast path.

Open plan with the living room, the kitchen features a fabulous island which has two bar stools and doubles as a breakfast bar. Appliances include a fridge / freezer, induction hob, electric oven and grill, microwave, toaster, kettle and slim dishwasher. Other items include a cafetiere, iron, ironing board and vacuum cleaner

A range of cookware, crockery, glasses and utensils are also provided

Snug

Just off the kitchen, the open plan snug sits at the bottom of the staircase and features a large comfy sofa and a wall mounted flat screen Smart TV with Freeview

Situated on the first floor this room has its own ensuite shower room. Furnished with a double divan bed, side tables with lamps, a hanging rail with shelves, and a Smart TV with Freeview

Outside

The lovely courtyard garden to the back of the cottage is accessed via doors from the living room and has a dining table and seating for six. Solar lighting means guests can enjoy outdoor entertaining in the evenings as well as during the day

Parking

This property does not have designated parking. Guests will need to head pay and display car park (a five minute walk away). There is another (cheaper) car park called Sandy Cove, which is a 3 minute drive away in the direction of Mousehole (about a 5 minute walk). Alternatively, there is street parking around Newlyn but this, of course, cannot be guaranteed and is on a first come first served basis
