A short walk takes you to the mine which promises an interesting visit, stroll in the opposite direction to discover the idyllic Portheras Cove and the South West Coast Path. To purchase your daily essentials or two treat yourself to an evening of wining and dining, Pendeen is also within walking distance and is a tranquil holiday base. This is a perfect location from which to enjoy some of Cornwall's most popular attractions and destinations; St Just, Penzance, St Ives and Land's End are all within 10 miles, ensuring that you will not be bored during your break at Miner's Rest.

The lovely village of Pendeen is located on the Penwith Peninsula in North West Cornwall, which is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It has a few charming taverns, convenience stores, and a pottery/gallery. There's also a magnificent lighthouse set away from the village centre, where you can take in the most breathtaking sea views for miles. There are so many amazing things to see and do in this lesser-known section of the county, from exploring the rough coastline to putting on your walking boots and criss-crossing the magnificent countryside, with public pathways at every turn! The beaches in this part of Cornwall are spectacular, and there are plenty of coastal communities and attractions to keep you occupied. Enjoy shopping in Penzance, find hidden jewels in the many harbour-front galleries in St Ives, or find the perfect souvenirs in Mousehole's eccentric shops. The open-air Minack Theatre, which overlooks Porthcurno's beautiful coastline, is a must-see, and you can also enjoy seeing the many filming locations for the BBC's Poldark.
