About this property

This mid-terrace, granite cottage sits in the charming village of Pendeen, on the scenic Penwith Peninsula. Perfectly placed in this idyllic corner of Cornwall, Iris Cottage welcomes families of five (with additional cot to sleep baby) looking to break away for a little while. Internally, the cottage boasts a fusion of contemporary and character features; the sitting room offers a large corner sofa where you can kick back and keep warm beside the woodburning stove, with a Smart TV for catching up on your favourite shows. Move into the kitchen, where you can conjure up a hearty dish for the group to be enjoyed at the dining table. A handy utility/cloakroom completes the ground-floor, boasting a washing machine and tumble dryer so you won’t have to pack your whole wardrobe! As you look to settle down for the night, head to the shower room for a freshen up before choosing between three bedrooms to catch your rest, each complete with a TV. Pendeen itself has much to offer within walking distance with a handful of great pubs, a convenience store, coffee shop, great fish and chips and a pottery/gallery on the doorstep. Nestled on the Penwith Peninsula, you have access to a number of beaches, perfect for treating the little ones for a fun-filled day playing in the sand. Avid walkers can join the South West Coastal Path or hop in the car and head to the coastal town of Penzance, where you can visit Penlee House Gallery and Museum, boasting artist exhibitions in a Victorian home. Choose Iris Cottage and make memories with your loved ones.

On the Penwith Peninsula, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in North West Cornwall, sits the beautiful village of Pendeen. There are a few charming taverns, convenience stores, and pottery/galleries there. Also, there is a charming lighthouse situated away from the village's centre, from which you may take in miles-long views of the most breathtaking sea. There are so many amazing things to see and do in this less well-known region of the county, from exploring the rocky coastline to donning your walking boots and crisscrossing the stunning countryside with public trails at every turn! The beautiful beaches, as well as the numerous coastal towns and activities, will keep you busy in this region of Cornwall. Enjoy Penzance's shopping, find hidden treasures in the numerous harbourfront galleries in St. Ives, or find the ideal souvenirs in Mousehole's oddity shops. You should put Porthcurno's magnificent coastline and open-air Minack Theatre on your "must visit" list, and you can also take in the many places used to film the BBC's Poldark. This wonderful place offers something for everyone, whether you're looking for a relaxing beach vacation, an exciting adventure, or both.
