Furzeburrow is a charming and unique cottage praised for its surprising room sizes, comfortable beds, and stunning views. Guests appreciate the warm, cosy atmosphere, even during stormy weather, and the property's proximity to local amenities and coastal paths. The authentic 60s decor adds to its rustic charm. Some minor maintenance issues are noted, but overall, the cottage offers a peaceful and memorable retreat.

There is no specific mention of cleanliness in the reviews, so it is not possible to provide a score for this category.

The location is highly praised for its mesmerising views, peaceful setting, and easy access to local shops, beaches, and coastal paths. The proximity to the village and the ability to enjoy the area without a car contribute to the high score.

Guests find the beds comfortable and the cottage cosy, especially during inclement weather. However, there are comments about uncomfortable sofas and noisy radiators, suggesting room for improvement in overall comfort.

The cottage is well-equipped for a perfect holiday, with mentions of fresh flowers and a warm welcome. Some guests suggest updating kitchenware and repairing curtains, indicating that while facilities are adequate, there is potential for enhancement.

The owners' responsiveness and kindness, such as posting back a forgotten item and selling homemade fudge, demonstrate thoughtfulness. However, as gifts like fudge are not consistently mentioned, it is politely noted that such gestures are not guaranteed.

Furzeburrow is a very unique property. It is non traditional construction a type of pre fab. The interior decoration and furniture and fittings are partially built into the property so would cause problems if any modernisation took place. So with this in mind it helps to understand the property. The size of all the rooms is surprising a bit tardis like. The beds are comfy and everything you need is there. The following 2 items could be looked into but did not spoil our holiday. Some of the kitchen bits ie pans need updating and the sitting room curtains need repairs or replacement. Our week there saw us experience heavy rain and stormy winds but the house remained warm and cozy. The view is the best I can remember

Furzeburrow is a quirky, homely place ,set in a peaceful location. The village has a small, but good selection of shops, including a pharmacy which we needed due to forgetting medication! It also has a fine gallery and gym which our teenage son made use of. We found local people very friendly and helpful. The view from Furzeburrow is truly mesmerising and we could have sat for hours gazing out at the rocks in the Atlantic ocean! It inspired ny husband to draw a picture overlooking such a beautiful, calm environment. We enjoyed walking down to the local beach for a swim, although quite rocky in places, there are calmer sandy coves. Beautiful coastal paths on our doorstep. We just ran out of time to explore further. The owners of Furzeburrow live nearby and are available if you need anything They kindly posted back an item which we left behind! They also sell homemade cornish fudge which is ideal for presents. Overall a great place to get away from it all. X
