The four-bedroom, 3 bathroom property retains many original period features which add huge character whilst benefiting from interior-designed rooms and high spec kitchen and bathrooms. The sitting room has a traditional woodburning stove and Smart TV; and there is also a separate snug room for the kids to hang out in or for quiet reading. A well equipped kitchen, with central island, opens onto a stunning dining room with views over the bay. In addition there is a large separate utility room with washing machine and dryer, plus a separate downstairs w/c. Upstairs is a master bedroom with a generous en-suite. There are two more double bedrooms plus a fourth bedroom with twin beds. A separate bathroom with a freestanding bath has stunning views over the bay. A further shower room with sink and loo provide plenty of amenities for up to 8 guests. Under a minute’s walk to the centre of Newlyn, this property is in a fantastic location. The nearby town of Penzance is a level 1 mile walk away or a short drive. Nearby Mousehole and Paul are both within walking distance. Newlyn boasts a number of fantastic restaurants and cafes, cinema, chemist, butchers as well as the famous fishmongers facing the harbour. The town of St Ives, award-winning beaches and the fascinating Tate St Ives is a short drive away, as is Sennen Cove, renowned for its surfing, and the famous Lands End. For all this and more, choose Belmont.
Newlyn is the third largest fishing port in England, and a major Port of Refuge for all seafaring ships. It is located adjacent to Penzance, and while it is still a charming town in its own right, it is also the third largest fishing port in England. This Cornish town is built around the port, with its famous 800-year-old quay curling around a few tiny boats on the western side (the Mayflower actually left for America from this quay, not Plymouth). The Cornwall Coastal Path, as well as the level Mousehole to Marazion bike path, pass through the town, which is known for the Newlyn School of Art and Newlyn Copper.

Only small snag was locks to all three bathrooms were difficult, resulting in getting locked in shower room when lock comes out and falls off, luckily when this happened someone was around to let person out.

The views couldnât be bettered and good for the soul! We found the seating in the front lounge very cramped even for 4 people (not happy sitting 3 people on green settee as difficult for person in the middle ) and grey sofa very small for 2 people. If there were 6 adults it would have been impossible although perhaps we could have brought in the small sofa from back lounge. As you know the fact that there was no plug in the sink of the shower room caused a problem for our personal circumstances ( husband has Dementia and unfortunately different surroundings worsened his condition ) this needs an actual plumber to fit a new one. Lucasz helped us remedy the immediate problem and was very quick to come to help - thank you. I was very surprised to find that there wasnât a fitting to allow us to charge our electric toothbrushes or electric razor . I had to try to purchase a two pin socket which was difficult , not having a car. I left a travel adapter but our toothbrushes didnât fit properly but at least didnât run out of power. Finally I feel that perhaps the car parking space could be more adequately described - we had three sets of visitors who all found in various ways it difficult to get in to the space the first time, . The steepness of the hill also meant that we were told that the Taxi drivers wonât go up Old Paul Hill so we had to walk down to Aunty Mayâs Pasty shop with our luggage a bit difficult as suitcase wanted to roll down too quickly ( we are in our 70âs ) . Whilst these may sound as if I am moaning that is not the case we were on the whole very happy with Belmont and really enjoyed our stay , but I wanted to say what we found troublesome Finally I would just like to say Thank You to Paulina the housekeeper. She and her husband Lucasz were very helpful and friendly. Thank you to the owners for providing a lovely property.

Excellent location and great views. Mattresses and pillows were not that comfortable and could do with upgrading.
