Pengersick Castle, which sits just inland from the beach, was built in the 16th century. A monk's ghost has supposedly been spotted roaming the grounds of Pengersick! An underground passage leading from Pengersick's mansion to the seashore is said to have been utilised by smugglers in the past. John Carter, self-styled King of Prussia, is said to have been born there. Penzance (8 miles away) and Helston both have supermarkets and other shopping establishments (6 miles).

The fixtures and fittings are really high end and credit to the housekeeper - the cleanliness was fantastic! The bed was comfy and the showers were fabulous. They really have thought of everything, even providing 2 pin plug adaptors in case you forget yours for the toothbrush/razor. Ice machine in the kitchen along with coffee and filter papers for the coffee machine with milk and sugar, a welcome sight after a long journey. Minutes away from the beach so the furry family members could have a play every night. They were even provided with a big pot of dog bickies on arrival - a thoughtful touch, thank you. Lovely holiday, lovely property and in a great location for Praa Sands and touring the area. We can't see how anyone could find fault with this property.

Praa sands is a little cornish jem so beautiful peaceful the second bedroom has the most amazing sea views and from the lounge the garden area which is totally closed and and secure benefits from being on the same elevation so you can here the sea all day outside the house is fitted all with high end amenities and i would really recommend a stay all within a 5 min walk to the sea

The downstairs toilet lock is broken, you can’t get out without help and the sewage smell was rather horrible by the driveway
