About this property

Nestled in the heart of the village of St Buryan in Cornwall, is this contemporary, semi-detached bungalow, 1 The Brambles. Within easy reach of Cornish gems, this stylish property is idyllic for a family or six friends and their pooch. On arrival, leave your vehicle in the off-road parking spaces before entering the hallway, where you can place your shoes and admire the hard wooden floor throughout. Stepping through the home, locate the shaker-style kitchen/diner, with an electric oven and hob for your self-catered stay and when meals are dished out, gather at the dining table and pour your favourite wine. Patio doors lead out to a rear enclosed garden, where your furry friend can stretch out their legs on the lawn and the group can enjoy an alfresco affair on the decking area to bask in the sun. As the evening cools, retire inside and relax your muscles in the bathroom with a long soak or rinse the day away in the walk-in shower. When you're ready to rest your head, choose between two doubles and a bunk bedroom to sleep, all with white-washed walls for a refreshing look. Wake up tired eyes out in the garden with a steaming cup of coffee in hand and discuss the plans for the day ahead. Just paces away from your holiday home, you will find a well-stocked convenience store to stock up on the essentials, or for fresh food there is St Buryan Farm Shop. History buffs will be thrilled with the surrounding landmarks, which includes the ancient Boscawen-Ûn Stone Circle and Drift stones or if that's not for you, unwind with a picnic beside Polgigga Duck Pond. Jump in the car to tour the picturesque scenery at Land's End, where you can burn off your dog's energy along the coast and embark on adventure to Penwith Heritage Coast for exceptional views. Nearby you'll find the world-famous open air Minack Theatre, which is carved into the clifftop with its sub-tropical gardens, offering stunning sea views across Porthcurno Bay. Visit the town of Penzance, steeped in history with its links to pirates and hosting Penlee House Gallery & Museum to learn about its past, as well as a long promenade to enjoy traditional fish and chips. For a blissful escape to Cornwall, getaway to 1 The Brambles.

St Buryan is a charming settlement in Cornwall's West Penwith peninsula, near to Lands End and the many stunning coves and beaches for which this magical part of the country is well-known. The 14th century grade one listed church, which serves as a prominent beacon for miles around, is surrounded by cottages. All of your everyday needs are met thanks to a well-stocked friendly neighbourhood store and a favourite local bar. A fantastic travelling base for unforgettable vacations.

The owner and family are very welcoming and do their upmost to help. The very generous welcome basket far exceeds anywhere I have stayed. The cottage was warm, the shower is great and the bed was very comfortable. Ignore the sat nav, turn left opposite the wonderful Londis / Jack's shop and go down the lane to almost the end, on the RH side you'll find the Brambles. Access is via 3 stone steps but there are rails to help. All is level once you're down the steps.

Very comfy bed, great shower and really well-equipped kitchen....not to mention how clean the whole place was. The welcome pack was incredibly generous and much appreciated. The home is centrally located for reaching many of the main coastal sites on Land's End. Alison the owner and her parents who live next door are very friendly.
