There is a very slow connection at the pub, but useless for watching streaming TV or using social media. Or even reading the news. Only four comfy chairs which for a family of five meant one of us had to use a dining chair or the floor all week. We weren't happy about this at all. Was clean and tidy and the welcome hampers were really nice. Beds were comfy. A blocked shower tray was sorted within the hour. All in all, a nice place to stay, but a couple of niggles mean it's not a place we will return to.

We would definitely return and are thinking of booking again for next year.

The beds were very comfortable and even though the views were the campsite and brick blocks its a lot better than looking into someone's window . There is a beach really close by which has a large car park , toilets and a shop . Unfortunately we do have some negatives regarding the accommodation . Apparently 'children allowed' and 'child friendly' are two extremely different things which is something I've never heard of , there's a lot of glass wear and breakable plates I would recommend taking your own cutlery if taking young ones . We raised some issues with Sykes after our first night and it took nearly all of our holiday for the owner to get back to them and them to us .The outcome was for the property manager to come look at issues raised but with 2 nights left this seemed pointless as it wouldn't change our experience .The Lino in the living area was coming up and all wavy , the curtains are moldy, the window in the single room has come away and there's a big gap. We found the pictures on Sykes website to be extremely misleading on the appearance of the property, as the paint is flaking and the property looks extremely aged from the pictures which the owner has said were taken last year .The property behind to the right has a hot tub and this is near the 2nd double bedroom which is a nuisance when trying to sleep and others want to stay awake till early hours. On our last night the property right behind decided to have a party and the adjacent property to them asked for it to be turned down which they refused so the Atlantic Bay staff did deal with this and we managed to get a peaceful nights sleep .The WIFI is not to the property and I asked the Atlantic Bay staff to confirm this with me before we left WIFI is only for the entertainment area and at best it reaches the car park areas outside the entertainment, again the owner said this wasn't the case but was confirmed by staff and we did try the WIFI password at the lodge .The washing machine shows error code F04 which after looking on Google is an issue with the door if you push the door handle the washer did work but I would say this needed looking at . We thought the rooms were 2 doubles and a room with 2 singles as when booking the 2 photos of the single room made us think that which was our mistake. We did put a new bag in the hoover as the bag was so full it wasn't picking up but the hoover and other things left like iron and airier were a great extra which we made use of . Overall we had a pleasant stay but I would say this is not the standard we expected from a Sykes property.
