Traditional Cornish village St Merryn is about two miles from Padstow's scenic harbour and fishing port, making it a popular destination for tourists. There are some of the best surfing and golf courses in Cornwall just outside St Merryn's door, making it an ideal destination for tourists. The village has two pubs and three restaurants, as well as Chinese takeout and chips. It's also close to the area's tourist attractions. It's only eleven miles to Newquay, a thriving seaside resort with three major beaches, the National Surf Centre, and unlimited amounts of rolling surf for watersports enthusiasts to enjoy. Other attractions include a Sea Life Centre, a Zoo and a variety of bars, restaurants, and clubs.
