The harbour is a departure point for fishing trips and sealife safaris, while crabbing off the harbour walls remains a favourite local pastime. Port Isaac (15.5 miles) and Boscastle (23.5 miles) lie along the coast in one direction, with Harlyn Bay (4 miles) in the other – the North Cornish coastline here is dramatic and varied. Between cliff-top walks, boat trips, and browsing Padstow's independent shops and bakeries, the area is as rich in scenery as it is in seafood.
