Nestled in the village and just a couple of minutes’ walk from the beach, The Glasshouse is a luxury holiday home that is exactly the kind of place where families and friends will want to unwind after laid-back days spent down at the water or exploring the coastline.

Set within an exclusive development called ‘The Strand’, The Glasshouse is one of a small collection of town houses beautifully designed and laid out over four floors, with two fabulous balconies offering views over the village and out to sea. To the rear there is a landscaped tiered garden that is perfect for alfresco dining and outdoor entertaining. This house also benefits from a communal garden to the front, as well as parking on a driveway and in a private garage.

Cool and contemporary, the living area and kitchen occupy the second floor, featuring an open plan layout with access to a furnished balcony to the front. The living area’s Scandi-coastal inspired furnishings include a large L-shaped sofa, arm- and rocking-chairs, as well as the dining table where breakfasts, lunches and suppers can be shared. The kitchen is spacious and very well-equipped, with access to the back garden.

On the top floor there are two lovely bedrooms, including the large master with access to its own balcony; both featuring ensuite bathrooms with walk-in showers, as well as superior beds and high-quality crisp linen meaning long, comfortable nights of sleep and lazy morning lie-ins. On the ground floor there are two more bedrooms, the double room to the rear has access to a patio area, while the front bedroom features a chalet bunk with a small double bed on the bottom. On the lower ground floor you will find the utility room and garage.

The Glasshouse is perfectly positioned for exploring all the best parts of North Cornwall. Porth features a lovely wide sandy beach that is situated in a pretty sheltered bay, making it perfect for young families, swimming and stand-up paddleboarding. It’s also a perfect spot for an evening BBQ. Down by the beach, Roo’s Beach store offers barista coffee and there is also a beach-side pub. If you want to grab a surfboard and venture forth into the waves, the renowned surfing beach at Watergate Bay is a 5-minute drive (or a 30-minute clifftop walk) to the north, and the famous surfing spot at Fistral a 10-minute drive to the south. Newquay’s three lovely surf beaches (Lusty Glaze, Tolcarne and Great Western) are also within walking distance and definitely worth a visit. These nearby beaches are well served by a range of cafes and restaurants from relaxed beach food to high-end gastronomic experiences.

A stunning modern town house over four floors, with floor to ceiling windows, and two balconies with village and sea views. Please note that the property does not have level access from the road. Access is either via a flight of external stairs to the front of the house from the drive, or through the garage where there is an internal flight of stairs from here up to the ground floor.

Living Room

Open plan with the dining area and kitchen, this airy room with its coastal tones features a sumptuous corner sofa, a snuggle seat with matching footstool and a rocking-chair. The wide flat screen Smart TV is wall-mounted and sliding doors open out to the private front balcony with amazing views over the village and out to sea.

Kitchen

Spacious and beautifully designed, the kitchen can be found to the back of the house and has access to the garden. Its range of appliances include a Neff induction hob, fan-assisted oven, grill, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, wine fridge and kitchen island which doubles as a breakfast bar with two rattan bar stools. Other appliances include a toaster, kettle, microwave, Magimix food processor, Nutribullet, Nespresso coffee machine and cafetiere.

Utility Room & garage

Situated on the lower ground floor alongside the garage, the utility houses a washing machine, tumble dryer, sink, iron and ironing board. If the garage is not being used for parking, guests can take advantage of the fold-up table tennis table.

Bedrooms

Bedroom One (top floor master suite)

This beautiful en-suite bedroom features a luxury king size bed and spectacular views. An enormous apex window with glass doors leading out on to the private balcony which has a bistro table and chairs for watching the sunrise or set over the sea. Other furniture pieces include a freestanding wardrobe, two side tables with reading lamps, a dressing table with mirror and chair, and a wall-mounted flat screen Smart TV.

Bedroom Two (top floor)

This lovely bedroom also has an en-suite bathroom and features twin beds that can be zipped and linked to form a spacious super king size bed on request. Furniture includes two bedside tables with reading lamps, a standalone wardrobe, chest of drawers, mirror and DAB radio.

Bedroom Three (ground floor)

Furnished with roomy twin beds that can be made up as a super king size bed on request this lovely ground floor bedroom has French doors that lead out to a small enclosed private terrace. Furnishings include two bedside tables with lamps, a built-in wardrobe and a fab little fold down writing desk / dresser with footstool and mirror.

Bedroom Four

Perfect for families with children and for adults alike, this room features a bunk-style bed with a small double on the bottom and a full single overhead as well as a chest of drawers and an underbed drawer for additional storage.

Family Bathroom (ground floor)

A beautifully designed modern bathroom with sleek bathtub and shower over (with rain head attachment), hand basin, cabinet, W/C, heated towel rail, lit mirror, shaver point and hairdryer.

Bathroom Two (top floor master en-suite)

The ensuite to the master bedroom, this contemporary bathroom has a walk-in shower, W/C, lit mirror, heated towel rail, hand basin and shaver point.

Bathroom Three (top floor)

This bathroom is the en-suite shower room to Bedroom Two and features a large walk-in shower cubicle with a rain head attachment. The room has a wash hand basin, lit mirror, heated towel rail, WC and shaver point.

Outside

To the back of the house the private garden is accessed through the kitchen where a small deck has steps down to the first tier of landscaped garden where there is a large alfresco dining area. On a second tier, a fantastic seating area with hardwood built-in benches is surrounded by raised beds with grasses and lush planting which creates an inviting suntrap for afternoon drinks. The third tier features artificial lawn and two sun loungers; a great spot for catching up on a good book or for simply soaking up the sunshine. There is a convenient surf shower at the front of the house by the garage door.

Parking

Parking for up to two vehicles: one on the property’s drive and a second in the property's garage, which is situated on the lower ground level. Please note that the garage may be unsuitable for particularly low vehicles due to the steep incline. Parking on the property’s drive will need to be secured by hand brake.
