This lodge is ideally suited for groups of friends or families looking to unwind near a Blue Flag beach and enjoy the scenic beauty of Cornwall, thanks to its proximity to the beach and its well-appointed on-site amenities. Park up alongside and cross the threshold into a welcoming living space, unwind on either plush sofa in front of the Smart TV while your beloved dog snuggles up in front of the electric flame-effect stove. Later, head into the fully-equipped kitchen to help prepare dinner which can then be enjoyed around the dining table. As the evening draws to a close, step outside to indulge in evening drinks on your private decking which offers hilltop views; then head back inside to freshen up in the bathroom before retiring to either the double or twin bedroom. A Blue Flag beach and miles of hiking trails through Cornwall's beautiful forests are both within easy reach of Sun Haven Holiday Park. A whole host of iconic attractions lie near the park including the Eden Project, where visitors can learn about the region's famous tropical biomes, and the Japanese Gardens, where you can stroll through displays inspired by the Far East. Whether you're looking to soak up some rays or ride the waves, Newquay's Bedruthan Steps, Fistral, or Towan beaches are close by and offer a variety of options for the whole family. Sun Haven Holiday Park's fabulous location means that keen walkers have a plethora of options for venturing out into the Cornish countryside. The dog-friendly golden sands of Mawgan Porth can be easily reached via the woodland walk that follows the River Menalhyl; discover the start of this trail at the base of the park after crossing the quaint stream. Located between Newquay and Padstow on the stunning north Cornish coast, the sheltered cove of Mawgan Porth is renowned for its golden sand beach, excellent surf, and network of caves and coastal footpaths. The beach is a great place to bask in the summer sun, learn to surf, or take a stroll along the cliffs while keeping an eye on the water. Excellent restaurants, such as Paul Ainsworth's No. 6 and Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant, can be found in the nearby town of Mawgan Porth. There is also the adult-only Scarlet Hotel nearby, which features a spa. Mawgan Porth is home to a number of amenities, including a deli, a farm shop selling meat and eggs, and a bakery selling bread and pasties made from local ingredients, as well as tennis courts, a pitch and putt, and an 18-hole golf course with views of the Atlantic.
